Huh. Y'know, people criticize T3 for taking the main story point of T2 and stomping on it, but looking at it your way, T3 actually justifies an enormous, gaping plothole in T2 that everybody always just willingly overlooks.

I refuse to watch any pre 70's movie if it's in black and white.

Which might explain my movie taste (yes, Charlie, I still say Transformers was awesome). I've tried to watch old black and white movies and I can't do it. It's as painful as sitting in biology class listening to a lecture. On an unrelated note I've never watched any of the Godfather movies either.

That sounds about right.

Rob Leifeld should illustrate the graphic novel of Avatar.
Fred Hembeck should do the sequel.

Jason Statham and Vin Diesel would be awesome for a Laurel and Hardy revival.

As funny and useless it can be to discuss plotholes on time travel stories, didn't actually T2 totally interfere with everything Kyle Reese told Sarah in T1?
I haven't seen the movies in ages and never saw another after T2, but didn't he tell her the machine had been destroyed after he went through and it's only him and the T800?

A bold claim is, most simply, a claim you make that you put in bold.

For this thread, it should be something about popular (or not popular) media. Movies, books, music, comics, TV, uhh... if I'm leaving out your favorite form of story-telling I apologize. It should be something a little outlandish, hopefully provocative, and never obvious to start debate. Calling Godfather the greatest movie of all time? That could be true, but it is lame. And it definitely is not a bold claim.

I'll start with one I realized tonight when I finally purchased a movie I've been meaning to own for a while.

The only three Batman movies I have any urge to rewatch are Batman! The Movie, Batman Forever, and The Dark Knight.

I don't mean to post this thread and run, but I'll be back in the morning with maybe new bold claims, or replies or more discussion. This is somewhat of an open season thread for arguing about movies/tv/comics/whatever, since I enjoy doing that a lot.
I have to ask...why Batman Forever?
Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones give perfect performances for the type of movie Batman Forever is. It's the spiritual sequel to Batman The Movie. Nicole Kidman is still my favorite Batman/Wayne love interest out of every movie. The movie is just hilarious.

Also: Kiss from a Rose is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Uhm.
The latest Indiana Jones movie is the best of the series.

y'all trollin?
I respect your opinion, and I suppose I technically have to agree that Jones and Carrey gave performances commensurate with the movie. However, for a Batman fan, it (and the original movie) are like making a campy version of The Diary of Anne Frank.

four words can explain that away. "They built another"

Quintin Terantino makes B rated movies on a Blockbuster budget, and the B movies tend to be better

Watchmen was ok.

In the vein of making bold claims about Watchmen: The ending of the Watchmen movie was better than the ending of the Watchmen graphic novel.

Are you talking about the movie or graphic novel?
The comic book.

The movie sucked balls and actually removed everything that was good about the comic.
Here, the phrase "Everything good" is used to describe a giant tentacle alien monster created by a team of kidnapped cloning scientists and effects artists.

In a comic that is attempting to place superheroes in the real world as opposed to those gimicky ones inhabited by Superman and the Avengers.
