Personally I was a little sad to see that Ian Starshine had gone from a Crazy Prepared dad to a complete paranoid whack-job. But I guess that happens when you only know him via flashbacks.

I'm certain we'll have more of this; it would be more than a little anti-climactic if Ian was just left there, sitting in jail. And last I checked, Rich don't do no anti-climactic ;)

#774: Telling Lies

That last panel is a bit of a mind-bender.
Basically, the potion only increases her ability to Bluff, but you can't Bluff something that is true. For that you need Persuade or Diplomacy, which she likely has few ranks in. That's why she couldn't get her dad to believe her in the cell when she was telling the truth but he instantly believed her when she lied about being OK with what he'd done.

Reading through his forums, it's surprising how many people feel he hasn't written much of the story ahead of time and is mostly "winging" it week/month to week/month. I can't fathom how they come to those conclusions.

Hee hee hee, the lead is in Good hands.

Also, any guesses on how the fight between Belkar and the Obvious Hero Guy is gonna pan out? I'm guessing Rich is not going to just stop parodying gladiator movie clichés, so I think this guy might actually beat Belkar. How the hell that will be done, I have no idea.
