Poor Elan. He wants to love his father so much but Tarquin dashed all hopes of that, even after raising them up on a big (slave-supported) pedestal.
I don't think anybody in the audience minds, though, except the rabid Elan fans.

Now you see why the books as a prize was such a popular thing.I just finished reading through the OotS archives, and crap-in-a-hat this comic is awesome. I really should have started reading it back when this thread started.
I love the variety in the characters, there are so many types of heroes and villains.
