Poor Elan. He wants to love his father so much but Tarquin dashed all hopes of that, even after raising them up on a big (slave-supported) pedestal.

I don't think anybody in the audience minds, though, except the rabid Elan fans.

I would imagine he does. Being part of the main cast, and OOTS' audience being as it is, I would be more surprised if he doesn't - especially since becoming a Dashing Swordsman.

I admit I like Elan.

That doesn't mean he is my favorite character and it certainly doesn't mean I don't like Tarquin or the rest of the evilly awesome characters

I certainly like Elan as well, mostly because I always root for the well-meaning dunces - especially if they prove they can hold out on their own despite their duncehood.

And the latest update? My jaw dented the floor as it fell.

I just finished reading through the OotS archives, and crap-in-a-hat this comic is awesome. I really should have started reading it back when this thread started.

I love the variety in the characters, there are so many types of heroes and villains.

Now the trick will involve being patient enough to not think the story is moving along too slowly when you can't read 50 new comics a day. :)

oh yeah you will suffer just like the rest of us with the sometimes hectic update schedule and sometimes slow as hell
