It would need to at least be big enough for us to build real houses and hotels.
I wonder how big a Monopoly board would need to be in order to be recognizable.

That depends on how you define recognizable. You could probably make a fairly small one that could be recognized as a monopoly board, with just 2x3 block properties... but if you want it to have legible property names that would blow it up much larger.

Was NOT ME this time.Bomb-Pops, they be tasty yummy good.
Strangely enough, the laptop will play Minecraft just fine. It's the loading and saving of chunks/regions that seems to make it sputter like an SUV on its last teaspoon of fuel. I don't know if the bottleneck is with CPU (compression/decompression?) or just storage, but it looks like improving disk access speed might be a good place to spend your effort if you're trying to reduce lag.(Minecraft does work, but only with everything turned all the way down, and even then it's still jerky)
hello, my name is steve, and I do what i can to be the biggest douchbag I can every day!Bomb-Pops, they be tasty yummy good.

It works again now. Somehow the permissions on that folder got absolutely fubar'd.You might have noticed the google map is no longer working. I don't know why, but I don't have any write permissions on the site any more either. Maybe it used too much space. No matter, though. I'm getting fibre internet next week (and not in October like they said before), so I'll just host it from home. I've already got everything working -- just waiting for fatter pipes.
No word (not that I expected any) on hmod for 1.4... so this will probably herald our switch to Bukkit once it's all stable.Multiplay said:Minecraft - v1.4 Bukkit Support

We just wanted to give you an update on the state of play.
We're currently still working through all the 200+ bukkit plugins, checking for issues, upgrading ones that can be updated, making notes of ones which the authors are currently working on fixes, as well as listing those that don't seem to be actively supported any more.
This could have been a relatively simple and quick process but unfortunately there where some changes a little while back in the Bukkit API which basically broke pretty much every plugin out there. This is also why we haven't updated Bukkit in a while as we where waiting for plugin authors to have chance to fix their plugins to work against the updated API.
The release of 1.4 is pretty much forcing the issue, as everyone wants to be on the latest version so plugin authors are working hard to update their plugins.
Once we have done a startup test on every single plugin and are happy that all the key plugins are now compatible with 1.4 we will push out a big update for you.
So you are aware there are currently there are a number of what we determine as "key" plugins, as they are used by a vast number of customers, which haven't been updated to work with the 1.4 compatible Bukkit server. We are monitoring the state of these and will make the call, likely some time this weekend, as to if we will update Bukkit to 1.4 before they are fixed or if we will wait for them.
Please be aware that both Bukkit and all the plugins are created by members of the community in their spare time, to make Minecraft more fun to play, they all deserve our respect and thanks for this so please try to be patient.
Finally I would like to give a big shout out to the core Bukkit developers who got a 1.4 compatible update out so quickly, respect guys and well done

Hope in one hand and shit in another and you'll find out which one fills faster.According to Notch's blog, Minecraft now has an official release date of 11/11/11. In his own words, features will continue to be added after launch, just the game will be full price after that. One can only hope updates will be a little more thoroughly tested then too, than they have been in the past.
Heh, well, he's been better about that sort of thing lately... it's been a while since a patch majorly broke something that wasn't a mod/plugin. I swear, that month or so where the new version's code caused blocks to repop constantly after being dug nearly did it for me.Hope in one hand and shit in another and you'll find out which one fills faster.
That was me. I plan on adding a smaller pyramid as well as other ancient Egyptian style buildings. Maybe a sphinx or two.Whoever built that sandstone pyramid... veddy nice!
I'll have to mess with it later, and see if I can get it working. Can't right now...That piston mod is wonderful. I know it won't make it in 1.5, but I really hope it gets included ASAP.
Poking around the Multiplay forums, I came across the Canary mod. Any chance we move to that instead of Bukkit?
Ok, Minecraft 1.4 with Canary is now active on the server. I don't know if this will be a permanent thing, as minecart mania still isn't available for canary (IE, hmod)... so at some point in the future, bukkit still looks to be the reality.I'll have to mess with it later, and see if I can get it working. Can't right now...
You can build but you can't dig at all? odd.Ah, forgot about why Minecart Mania isn't working, that's disappointing.
Just tested, warp/home/spawn commands work fine. I can place blocks but can't destroy them; however, my username is still green, so it doesn't seem as though user permissions got reset.
