Say you are completely surrounded,

EEE
EME
EEE

if you use your Five Storms attack power you would make 8 separate attack rolls against your enemies but only a single damage roll against the ones you hit. It's a rule change to save on dice rolling.

I didn't read it either before first playing; I just listened to the Penny Arcade 4th Edition adventures and I had most of it understood. So don't feel like you absolutely need it when you have the character builder.

The first few game sessions were interesting as many people didn't play the 4th edition. Now with a good party being in the know of 90% of the rules it should play out faster.

I have a macro for crits on all my characters, at it's most basic level it's

EXTRA DAMAGE: Critical Strike

That way I can add in extra effects or damage types as necessary. So for Errik who had a fiery magical tome, it was

EXTRA DAMAGE: Critical Strike (fire)

Another one of my characters would knock a target prone on a critical strike, so I added that text to that macro too. I'm just sayin' it couldn't hurt.

OK, first attempt at macros. Hopefully I've got the right idea. I couldn't get macros to save if they didn't have a dice-roll listed, so I put a d20 dice roll on my special Move abilities with text to ignore the roll.

All the math looks good, you can simplify the Move macros by rolling 0d1 it always rolls a 0 so you can safely ignore the roll.

Hey, do you need me online tomorrow for the Game Table thing, or is that more for the new guys?

I'm not feeling super well tonight guys, and if tonight's session is just gonna be as a test/tutorials for Far and MD then is it cool if I sit this one out?

I'll be ready to go to test this stuff out. I also did one of these for Ralts.

Motivation
-Ralts is most often driven by signs provided, both directly and indirectly, to him by Lawbringer. Through years of training he has enabled himself to divine these from many sources, from the most mundane such as a shifting wind to the rarer and usually more explicit whispers and visions. He however does not simply follow these blindly and instead takes them into careful consideration before taking actions.
-Ralts has been given leave from his order recently and has begun traveling under the condition that while on his journey he adheres to the sects’ ways and heeds the will of Lawbringer. Few know of the reason behind his leaving save the high chancellor and the prime council whom he had to petition in order to venture beyond the orders lands while not on one of their tasks.

Personality
-Devout
-Pragmatic
-Disciplined
-Solemn

Likes
-Justice
-Meditation
-Simple clothing

Dislikes
-Excess
-Brash individuals
-Alcohol
-Those who oppose the will of Lawbringer.

Also this is what I picture him as. Only difference being that he should have a large sword as well.

Having trouble figuring out my critical macro. I thought it was 1d6+1d12 since it's a high crit weapon?

It was good times until the ogre smashed our heads in. Excited to get started as well.

For being a fullblade it is +1d12 and magic adds another +1d6, so total dice would be +1d12+1d6

Heh, with only the three of you, the encounter level rose to level 9 for the final fight. Still it showed how battles separate and the role of a defender, and how to make death saves and coup-de-grace.

So y'all got murdered huh?

And I look forward to exploiting your high crit with my Focused Sound encounter.

I look forward to exploiting that one Channelled Divinity. We just have to be fighting te same enemy. But it's nice. lol

time delayed double post?

Had Gusto and Jay been there last night, I think the party could easily have made a fight of the last encounter, which was designed to demonstrate front line and back line fighting. If you had a controller to keep the ogre and hobgoblins at bay, Bastion and Ralts could have easily dispatched the artillery and leader. Leaving the three big targets to conquer as a group.

Wow. I think I duplicated a post, deleted the duped post, and then ended up with no posts. Weird.

Anyway, I'm more suited for spreading my damage out, so minions and very basic crowd control will be my forte.

My build is defintely made to single out one enemy until he is dead, using the attacks that do hit me from others to make my own more damaging, and then moving on. Need to work on my defenses soon I think. I may take leather training as my next feat to help with that.

And divine guidance is great with its only downside being that the miss has to be on my oath target.
