Well. Today was my birthday, and not one call from my family or friends. I got wall posts on FB, so I guess that's the new call. Every other employ at work has gotten a card signed by everyone since I've been there, but not me. One went around yesterday for my boss, so I know they still do it. I had to call my wife myself, and not once during the call did she even mention my birthday. No cake or gifts. I know it's a silly whine, but you can't help being at least a little depressed.

I want a new PC! My current rig does everything I need it to, but it's starting to chug in newer games. (Nevermind that I have backlog of games that it can run just fine.) It's probably not even fast enough to capture video of Darksiders at 720p, and I wanted to review the cutscenes/storyline as if I were mocking a movie TGWTG-style.
I want to upgrade my vid card, so I tried selling my 5870 with no luck. So right now I'm debating dropping the full $500 for a GTX580 now, pinching my budget further and getting a GTX590 for $750 or buying the GTX580 now, and a second GTX580 for SLI in March..... yet that's exactly what I said I was going to do with my 5870 but never did....

You know, one part of my brains says, "birthdays past a certain point really aren't a big deal." But then I remember how much fun it is to make a big deal out of someone for a whole day with cake and silly hats and whatnot. Happy birthday, Fade! You're awesome-- a forumite worthy of the tallest pointy hat and the most delicious of layer cakes!

And yes, mak, grapes are deee-licious in chicken salad. I use apples, red grapes, celery, and a teeny bit of white onion. So... so good. But never raisins... that would make me some kind of a freak.

haha that reminds me today at lunch i found out my friend letitia likes her steak well done. i asked her politely but firmly to leave.
I am of course kidding. We were out to lunch and her meat was way too underdone for her and it ruined her meal. I felt bad for her. I totally understand why she doesnt want to see red in her meat since she used to help her family butcher their livestock. I would probably only eat beef jerky for the rest of my life if I did that. gag.
