Wait wait wait... So, lemme get this straight. So every time Shinji gets put inside that thing... he's actually entering his own mother?

I'mma think I'll go over here and pour some drain cleaner in my ear now, thank you very much.
It's like that SNL sketch with the guy whose mother never severed the umbilical cord, and as punishment, "holds him in." No wonder he's such a little momma's boy, eh?

Due to several revelations In this thread, my forum based fan fiction is going to need heavy revisions.
Seriously, what did you get wrong? So far I've been 100% correct, save for maybe Shego's diiiiiiiwwwwaiit a minute, you're making forum-based fan fiction? :Leyla:

That's just too much work for a thread which was just to help prevent future confusion, I think. Besides, anyone who stands somewhere outside the male/female dynamic has already been pretty vocal on the matter, thus removing any misunderstanding.

The "nonbinary gender" thing is hogwash. It's easy - which pronoun do you not want to be called - "he" or "she?" Note - I'm not saying "born with a penis = MAN FOREVER," I'm saying that when you REALLY pin people down, they really do identify with one or the other.

Actually, most of them are not vocal at all. I identify as female but I did want to speak out for them.
On this forum?

I'm not trying to change the world, for crying out loud. I just wanted to prevent myself in the future from telling Emrys her poppy avatar looks like a vagina.

I was wondering when Ame was going to wander in. I saw the poll and went, "Yup."

But seriously, I've learned a LOT on the subject of transgenderism from this board and I can't say that's a bad thing.

Bleh, stuff like "Genderqueer" rings of forced-for-forced's-sake to me. Like all those college kids who just discovered leftism.

Exactly. Unless Yivo is posting on this board, there are only two pronouns that apply. If Yivo IS posting on this board, I invite skler to speak up, because sklee and I need to talk.

Would not expect you to even remotely understand fade. There's little chance you would.

Also I'd like to add that along with Ame, Biann would definitely win if she felt the need for effort/want to display her ability to claim the title.

Doesn't really work in languages that don't make that gender distinction - although some comedians might suggest that Finnish has "he" and "it".

Those comedians are usually of the "idiotically piss-drunk and not getting any" variety.

Not gonna lie and say that all who identify as such are truly what they are. Much like teenage bisexuality. That said!! I know there are people who are truly, in their core self, genderqueer. You may not understand it, but it doesn't mean that they do not exist.
There are people who truly, in their core self, believe they are Napoleon Bonaparte. That doesn't mean they are. Look, I usually am totally the "perception equals reality" type guy here, arguing that your perception defines your reality - but this is a situation where a given person's rare disfunction is trying to define reality for everyone. It's entirely accurate to portray this as a case of Les Nessman's office walls taken to ridiculous extremes.

I'll be honest--I can't help but be insulted when someone uses the phrase, "You can't possibly understand". I can understand it perfectly well. I just have very strong reservations about believing it on the basis of my own observations.
