Well, Crystal Cox has moved on to full on psychopath. Apparently in reaction to the story I posted above, Crystal posted the following screed on her blog.

Kashmir Hill sure seems to jump to alot of conclusions. Guess Kashmir Hill is not liable for trash talking me, cuz she is the "Real" News and is Accredited and All. So does Kashmir Hill have the capability to Edit? Shall I demand a Retraction from Kashmir Hill, though that would never work, for the wrong story is rampant due to "unethically" alleged "journalism".

So does Kashmir Hill have investigating Skills and Will Kashmir Hill of Forbes, a Blogger, it Seems dubbed a Journalist, with full rights of Free Speech that I, an independent blogger, am denied, does Kashmir Hill plan on investigating the alleged crimes, conflicts of interests, depositions, court cases, videos, documents, and tons of other sources showing that Obsidian Finance Group may not be so squeaky clean? Or is Kashmir Hill just going to take their word for it all and call it news?

Does Kashmir Hill know that some of the biggest PR Companies in the world now offer Search Engine Reputation Management Services? Does Kashmir Hill know that Search Engine Reputation Management services are recommended by google and does Kashmir Hill know that Reputation Management is big business and legitimate business. Does Kashmir Hill know that I also sell a Supplement that Dissolves Artery Plaque and I have offered that to my Readers, Clients, and All who Email me, even the Plaintiff's Attorney? Is it illegal to offer other businesses and services just because I expose corruption? Is it really that wrong, to be open to promoted somebody that I once did a story on? Has Kashmir Hill looked at all sides of all of this?

She can't be much of an SEO expert, just repeating words over and over again while linking back to the same site hasn't been an effective SEO tactic since Yahoo was king.

It really tells you how screwed up stuff is when I never even knew this guy was even running, and I already like him more then every other person on the ballet just from the way he handles himself and the good he did for those kids.

Huntsman is probably the least cartoonish of the bunch, but still has big marks against him for believing in anthropogenic global warming and the need for stricter environmental regulations to curb CO2 emission, and for stating on the record that he believes health care "is a right."

Ironically many of those "big marks against him" would help him win independent votes, and possibly even some democrat votes, in the general election. But of course the wingnuts of the far right would rather shriek and make sure the candidate is as conservative as possible, despite the fact that it will make it nearly impossible to win the general election.

They're probably the two biggest lynchpins of why people who hate obama... hate obama. Obamacare and the carbon dioxide witch hunt extortion scam.

Really, as far as most republicans are concerned, electing anybody who isn't talking about repealing obamacare NOW NOW NOW is pointless to the point of not even bothering to have an election and just letting obama run roughshod for 4 more years.

Uh, no. The biggest reason people hate Obama is because they are told to hate Obama. I would wager he could do everything conservatives love or advocated for and still be hated. Us vs. Them mentality.

I had fun with this in the last federal election. A candidate for the socialist party here (NDP for you Canadians) tried to convince me that a bank making a $1B profit (we haven't had bailouts of banks in Canada btw) is an injustice and that they should have to give more of that money to the government. I asked him about the amount of SPENDING the bank had done, and if it's a normal (10-ish) percent profit or not? And about if a business has $1M of revenue, is a $100,000 profit OK? $1M revenue isn't even that big of a business either. Or even a higher percentage for an even smaller business. The guy wasn't a candidate, and so failed pretty epically at actual debate, rather than sound bites.

That's in contrast to the local Saskatchewan party (kinda centrist from what I've seen) candidate for the provincial election, which was last year as well. He was an actual candidate, and would engage issues head-on. Actually surprised me a lot, and showed that he actually had knowledge of basic economic concepts (I didn't engage in the "main topics" as defined by the media up here very much) and even answered well when I asked him to say something GOOD about the candidate he was running against. I kinda wish I'd met the NDP candidate to see if he was better than the federal flunkie that came around the previous election. The Sask party guy certainly made me feel at least a little better about the general quality of candidates if he was any measure. And yes, the guy I talked to got elected, though I didn't vote (haven't lived in the province long enough to really know the issues, so would rather not vote than vote without knowing enough).

I don't even know why they are bothering... Romney's not going to back down because he's already been chosen by the Republican insiders and just needs the votes to make it official. Newt's not gonna back down because he's pissed and does nothing but make terrible decisions when he's angry.

Honestly, if anything is being accomplished, it's just that they are making the implosion of the Republican Party an entertaining event for everyone who votes center-center left.

I think the aim is the same as what Rush Limbaugh tried to do with Obama and Hillary in 08 - he entreated republicans to register as democrats so they could vote in the primary and vote hillary, to draw the primary campaign out as long as possible to let them do as much of the dirty work as possible.

Except the Obama/Hillary battle wasn't nearly this bloodthirsty. You can't run that kind of race in the Democratic Party (at least on the national level anyway).
