Games on SALE!

Hydrophobia is by no means a perfect game, but I got it for free on Plus a few months ago. I dug it. I'd say it's worth a buck and a quarter.

If you look at Kingdoms of Amalur and Witcher 2 and feel you should only spend 40 bucks today, definitely go with Witcher 2. Amalur is so painfully mediocre.

Let's put it this way... the quick look I saw had you vaccuuming up semen off a porn shop's floor and blowing it back out on protestors of said bookstore.

In the same quicklook, they also showed the tutorial where you were supposed to douse zombies in a pit with gasoline and light them on fire. They couldn't even get through the tutorial because the gasoline would not light even when the match was thrown directly on it. So, yeah, very poorly coded.

I've been meaning to get Bastion, but I'm not big on games like Torchlight/Diablo. Is that the style or is it a completely different beast?

In my opinion it's got more in common with ¾-perspective arcade brawlers than Diablo-style dungeon crawlers. There are some RPG elements, but they're relatively light. There aren't random loot drops, skill trees or armor sets. I'd say it doesn't even have as much RPG in it as the X-men Legends series.

Well I've heard really good things so perhaps now would be the time to pick it up. I'm about 8 games away from playing it but no harm in having it in the stock. Thanks.
