What are you playing?

Fuck, I love Forza 4. I wish I wasn't limited to checking it out once every 2 months from work. I can't justify the purchase though, so can't buy it until it ISN'T $60.

Where do you live? There are some places that can fix those things for $50 or so.
I did find a local place that could look into it/fix it for like 50 bucks, the issue was (at the time) money was tight and I couldn't swing it. Moving back to CA in a few weeks so I figure at this point I'll just wait and look for someone out there.

Holy smokes... someone else who actually enjoys Forza (all my friends get annoyed with the realistic driving physics).

Soliloquy

I've spent the past two weeks beating Mass Effect 1 and getting on my way towards beating Mass Effect 2. I'm hoping to have both finished by the time the ending DLC comes out for 3, so I can play it for the first time and pretend that that was always the ending all along.

Some Skyrim, some Game of Thrones RPG (better than expected). Mostly ROTK 11... Emperor Liu Bei (me!) now has Sun Ce with 6 cities left, Liu Xiu with 2 cities left and Cao Cao with 1 ciy left to deal with before conquering China on Hard difficulty.

I'm currently obsessed with Diablo 3. I also have Skyrim and ME3 on hold :) I'm going to have to dust off my DS for my upcoming work trip though.

I'll never get to drive an Aston Martin or anything, so I'll take the closest I can get.

Before our race track got closed down here I used to do some driving schools and got to do a few lapping days too. Good times. My brother used to teach at the various licensing schools and clubs (BMW club, exotic car club, race licensing school, etc) so I got to go out on the track with him in his supercharged 350z. Few things are as much fun.

When we got wind of Forza, my brother and I pulled the drivers seat from an old Nissan 300zx turbo at a junkyard and built up a box frame around it to hold our pedals and steering controls. We played the hell out of Forza 2 on that thing. Kind of sad we had to get rid of it due to space constraints.

OHAI internet, I'm back from playing Mass Effect!
I got super hooked into Mass Effect. I explored all the planets, found all the minerals, killed all the things, finished all the side quests and made sure I hadn't missed anything before finishing the first game. Aaaand then realized I forgot to sleep with someone. :-/

Anyway, I told myself I would hold off on ME2 until after SDCC since I've been a lazy ass and haven't been prepping for it AT ALL. Well, I started it the next day because I couldn't resist. Went to transfer my game and saw that I had put 40 hours into it while Mike put in 15. >.> Anyway, FREAKING LOVE ME2! Now I see why my friends were pestering me to quickly move on to the second game! Really digging the changes they made to the game and I love all the companions. Also, I'm really working hard at trying to sleep with everyone. We'll see what happens.
I also have a lady boner for Jack. Hooooly crap she is fantastic. And I'm super bummed that Samara isn't interested in a relationship. D: I love Joker in this game, too! I talk to him every time I finish a mission and love what he has to say about the crew. Bummed that the fish I bought are dead, but at least I still have SPACE HAMSTER! XD

I'm also playing Lego Batman (playing through with Mike), Lego Star Wars, finished Kirby: Return To Dreamland (hard mode with a friend), and Halo 3 (ummmm we some how lost the game disc for Halo 2... so we moved right on to 3. And no one I know seems to remember what happened in that game. :-/).

I've been playing the hell out of Saint's Row the Third. With most of the GTA-type games, I always find myself playing for a few hours and getting bored. SR3 is probably the first time I'll finish one of those games. It has a good balance of actual storyline and randomly stupid humor.

Playing ROTK 11.

Finally achieved victory playing on hard difficulty with a relatively weak force in a scenario with many initial enemy. Emperor Liu Bei of the Han Dynasty has conquered ALL OF CHINA!

I will stop playing this game for now and will go back to playing the Game of Thrones RPG, Skyrim and going to try out Pools of Radiance.

A lot of the GoT RPG reviews said it was pretty bad. Are they mostly wrong then?

I've played through all of Supreme Commander and Forged Alliance and I'm nearly finished with Supreme Commander 2. Honestly I l ike both games. Some people rag on Sup Com 2 and I can see why because some things are fundamentally different, but I find in Sup Com 2 Fixed Defenses aren't the turtle gods they were in the first game and experimentals seem to supplement armies rather than dominate them like in Sup Com 1. Sup Com 1 had a slower pace by face and had more "game is over now lawl" units

I personally feel that the GoT RPG has a lackluster interface and the combat isn't excellent... but it's a lot of Dragon Age Origins in some ways... the storyline for someone who loves the books is fantastic.

Playing Mount and Blade Warband. It kinda feels like what you'd get if Sid Meyer's Pirates! took place on land and had more combat focus. I LIKE the game, but profess to not being good at it: I finally got enough renown to become a Lord, but the sec I did, I started was being rushed by forces far superior to my own. This makes it very hard to raise a proper army without spending a lot of time grinding sea raiders.

Mount and Blade rules! I started my own faction in Warband and I have been having a jolly good war with all the other groups for a long while now.

Jay, if Mount and Blade 2 supports it... I'd gladly charge into battle at your side.

I actually hope there is some multiplayer options in the campaign. I could really use some of my friends as lieutenants during the castle sieges. Would make much more efficient use of the troops.

Which faction?
Vaegyrs (sp). I finally have a decent cash flow going, but I guess I need to start politicking to get more fiefs. Already have an elite group of 71 men, but I can't really DO much with them ATM because we're not at war with anyone.

Then start a war.

In vanilla, nothing was better than my Nord soldiers with my Rhodok crossbowmen. I also used to have half a dozen Swadia cavalry knights and squires for personal entourage. Felt awesome giving the command to fire and watching 40+ crossbowmen align their shots and shoot, then to see the spam of deaths caused by it. Great game. I should play again.

Woo finished ME2 with my renegade Shepard who slept with Garrus and dumped him after. Got Thane to fall for me, then broke up with him, pissed off Jack, got let down easy by Mordin, got my heart broken by Samara, and failed to get Jacob interested.
Now I'm going through and finding all the extra quests on all the planets and trying to get into Kelly's pants. Also, just got shadow broker downloaded, so I have that to do too! Aaaand my entire crew survived! :D
44 hours and counting since 6/6... I may need a break.

Wow...

My wife finished today as well. Everyone survived... but she's a paragon and slept with no one.

I was hoping Liara would come to the ship and sleep with me, especially because wine was poured! But no one drank the wine and all I got was a hug. D:
Anyway, finished Shadow Broker and I'll have to read through everyone's dossiers. Love all the silly stuff they put in there!

If you stayed loyal to her, there's some asari nookie for you.

I personally consider Shadow Broker to be one of the best ME2 DLC, along with Overlord.

I still have points left over! Time to download Overlord so I have more things to do!!! XD I think all that's left to download is weapons and armor that I don't care too much about.
Started my second game today. She's going to be a good Shepard this time!

Overlord is how DLCs should be done. None of that other DLC bullshit. None of that, Day 1, "more guns" crap.

I finally got to start playing Xenoblade Chronicles. It's really scratching the JRPG itch for me. The combat style reminds me of the Tales series of games from the SNES days. Quite a unique setup.

Back to Skyrim for me. I wanted to start D3 on Nightmare but.....I dunno. I don't think I can take the grind until inferno.
