This lone image, has gotten me more interested in that franchise than EVERYTHING else I have seen of it, from concept art and sculpts to cinematics and gameplay.
Seems like it'd make the blade a lot more fragile, or is that just me misjudging the effect those holes have?View attachment 8286
Such an awesome example of utility.

The holes are for turning nuts and bolts.Seems like it'd make the blade a lot more fragile, or is that just me misjudging the effect those holes have?
As long as there's enough "belly" on the leading edge, the holes should actually make it easier to swing (at zombies or whatever else comes your way).Seems like it'd make the blade a lot more fragile, or is that just me misjudging the effect those holes have?

From Wikipedia. The Derweze area in Turkmenistan is rich in natural gas. While drilling in 1971, Soviet geologists tapped into a cavern filled with natural gas. The ground beneath the drilling rig collapsed, leaving a large hole with a diameter of 70 metres (230 ft). To avoid poisonous gas discharge, it was decided the best solution was burn it off. Geologists had hoped the fire would use all the fuel in a matter of days, but the gas is still burning today.
Locals have dubbed the cavern "The Door to Hell".
You want natural gas? See YoshimicksterMan, think of all the energy wasted. That's natural gas that could've been used for something useful.
It's stated that the last few intelligent people, before dying out completely, left really good tech that was simple to use. That's why alot of it was in disrepair/used incorrectly.I was honestly amazed with how advanced the technology in idiocracy was, especially considering that they were, you know, stupid.
