    [Comics] Has SDCC outgrown itself?

No, they still call it Gencon. Not sure why you'd think otherwise.

The new Amazing Spider-Man trailer is out...

I know I'm rather late, but I just saw it, so there. I think that does play a major part. I really didn't want to like this movie as much as I did, I didn't want to justify the reboot. But Spider-man's portrayal is, obviously, so important to the film as a whole that the improvement I saw in...

    Video Game News and Miscellany

And the original DS sold 14 million in the same time period. The 3DS is on pace to be the fastest selling handheld system of all time and you're saying it's just above doing crappy and it's not what people are looking for? Yes, they're not making the money on the unit sales, but with games...

Which doesn't change that it is performing. It had a weak opening, yes, but the fact that it's sales are now outpacing what the DS had (which has been humorously described as printing money) means that, unlike what Bubble said, modern-day consumers are looking for it and buying it.

    Video Game News and Miscellany

You sure about that? Almost double the sales of the orignal DS in it's first year, with also about double the releases and game sales, and you're using it as a example of poor performance? The @$$ that thought it would sell seems to be right. I think there's still too many unknowns at the...

    Legend of Korra

I don't think it's really been a mystery we were meant to solve. They haven't made much of a big deal of the "Who's behind the mask?" question so far. He's made his claims back in "The Revelation" about who he is, how he got his powers, and that's about it. At this point, I expect any...

    [Movies] Avengers

They've got a lot of setup work to do though, unless they want to just toss new versions of every character not named Superman into a movie together with no work establishing those versions of the characters.

    E3 2012

What I am looking forward to the most so far this year? No question... The results of the War for Cybertron crew sitting around and asking "How can we make it better"? Yes please.

    D&D 5 Playtesting.

Really, it's an amalgam of old school D&D, 3.5, and 4e, with some new mechanics mixed in as well. Which is not surprising given their stated intentions of bringing together the D&D player base.

[Movies] Confess your movie sins to me, and be absolved

This. I think it's fair to say it's harder to impress a sense of majesty on someone solely with visuals if they find the visuals mundane rather than majestic.

[Movies] Confess your movie sins to me, and be absolved

While I partly agree with you, I don't think someone necessarily has a short attention span just because they don't find watching a ship land for 5-10 minutes interesting. It's not a matter of attention span length, but whether the special effects impress you.

No, OC, we'll be fine... *hides nukes under the table* They're the various governments in the Inner Sphere. House Steiner could be described as super-capitalists with a preference for assault mechs.

So it's safe for me to assume they're going the freemium route with this? I might be able to justify getting it then.

[TV] Talk about the last TV you watched, the catchall thread

By setting it after the movie, they can continue with the new toys characters they introduced in it, and leave the old, discontinued toys out. *Googles that episode* The heck...? Why do I not remember this episode at all? :(

[TV] Talk about the last TV you watched, the catchall thread

Hard to judge what the censors think, especially ones from 30 years ago, but I would assume that even anthropomorphized robots are still just robots in their eyes. It seems like there was similar logic in the Micheal Bay movies, since Sam is the main character because we apparently can't...

    [Webcomic] PVP Discussion

The newbie level product is someone's homebrewed adventure. It's a bit harsh to expect Kurtz to know the name of every adventure someone on the internet ever came up with.

Yeah, I noticed that too. That's the sort of thing I'm willing to accept if a decent story comes out of it though (like I would a magical d20 that sends people back in time or something). But at the moment, it's only "eh".

My money's on that he just did that to show that even rolling a 19 on a d20, Alan can't find the traps in here. Which would be bad.
