I wouldn't say the Yankees squeaked in. They won 100 games and has the third best record in the majors. It's just that they happen to be in the same division as the best team.
I never feel confident unless they're coming in as the top of the division. Not that it means they'll go all the way then, too, but there's sort of a ...feeling? atmosphere? that comes from it.

I'm sorry, but the Red Sox and Yankees haven't been in the same division as the Brewers since 1993.

I still consider myself a fan of the team, but part of me really thinks they deserve an absolute shitshow of a season, just to but the brakes on the arrogance and the drama.
I'm just going to consider baseball and football a wash for the rest of 2018 and play with the dog.
