The (personal) irony here is that I can surf this wave like a champ. I have the means to walk the next 4 years without much problem. There's gonna be a lot of people who get sucked into the riptide. Many of them will be the minorities and muslims of our country, but lots are gonna be the people who put him in there.

Who can say? Republicans have just been told that appealing to the lowest common denominator, that all the Fox News nonsense, the racism, hatred, etc., that this was what Americans wanted all along. It's not like they've had a problem appealing to the fringes and gaining from it. Trump will do the same as Republicans have always done--fuck over the people who put them into office, and be guaranteed that those same stupid shitkickers continue to vote for them as long as those politicians pretend at Christianity and blame brown people for the shitkickers' problems.
If there's a sudden miraculous reversal at the end to give Hillary the win, the cries of "rigged" will echo from now until eternity.
