seems like an interesting chance to see the inner workings of the characters, though im not sure how supposedly poisoned food matches with Tyrdin, though the mother incident does. i'm sure Rusty has earned a particular amount of hate from Tyrdin for killing 2 of his mothers, without the inner struggle Rathkor had when he did. i can't wait to see the others minds, thoug simkins is unnerving me. i cant wait to find out why he is here and what he has to do with everything.

Let me tell you one thing... everything in these dreams... is there for a reason... as outlandish as they may seem. Some of them... may get a bit... emotional. And that's all I have to say about that.

Tyrdin : A wealthy Lord's son who father held huge banquets, a lack of trust, revisiting a painful memory (throw in chapter 2 dream at him since he's in there as well - I hope you liked that)

Falagar : Finding his greatest legendary tale, now to be experienced by all.

Rathkor : ???

Helga : ???

Rusty : ???

Simkin : ???

7th Door : ???????

shouldnt that second Tyrdin be Simkin, or does Tyrdin have a split personality we should know about? lol

Tyrdin gets two doors?

Also, is this the accepted order that they'll be done in? Or just a guideline that, yes, in fact, one of these doors corresponds to each of us.

Gotcha. I intentionally left off the possibility that we could experience 3 more Tyrdin nightmares and then maybe another Falagar.

And then 12 more doors could appear.

And they're all on fire.

The references may already be happening. Is Tyrdin attempting to save shades of his mother? How is he faring?

It occurs to me that I still haven't heard any recordings of what I've missed and you guys have given me very little info on what the fuck.

Oh shit, Jay, I forgot my retraining until now.

Can you alter my at-will Brash Strike to Resolute Shield? Or should I send another character sheet?

No, it's fine. I'll probably need some details on what it'll do ingame however.

As for the what is going on, I'm going to leave that completely to the other players.

In tyrdins mind, we found various copies of his mum sick in beds. We healed most of them, which turned out to be various citizens of Good Mead in disguise. Rusty killed one before we knew that, and then killed another after we did. Then we went to Falagars. there was a Mage Bear.

Resolute Shield
Strength vs. AC, must have shield equipped.
Hit: 1W+STR (1d8+9) damage, and I gain resist all CON (4) against the target's attacks until the end of my next turn.

I don't need the bonuses (or certainly the penalties) of Brash Strike now that Rusty's around to grant me tons of power bonuses and CA. With Resolute Shield and Crushing Surge as my at-wills, I'll be able to give myself temp and then better keep it there. :)

Interesting. Are there any civilians in Falagar's dreamscape? What do they look like? Like, was Tyrdin's dreamscape an infirmary? And Falagar's an arcane forest or something?

R

pretty much. tyrdin: woom with lots of beds and what looked to be several sick and wounded lady mila's. falager: forest. probably magical. has a stonehenge like formation in the middle of it

I love how Rusty is a murderer based upon assumption. We are in a dream world dealing with dreams and you're convinced that all of it is real. Rusty hit a physic shadow with a imaginary sword while in the dream of someone else. If you want to extend that line, clearly the actions we take in the dreams of others are actually controlled by the dreamers, thus Tyrdin killed those people not Rusty.

we are physically in the HPOD, hence the saving throws, and in character, the damage some of us are suffering, hence we are NOT figments of the minds we are in. and if youre theory were correct, what are we when we ane not in someones mind, when we are in the hub with the doors. it should be noted, Jay has made our actions have consequences, so you might wanna be on the look out. just giving ya a heads up.

We go into barracks, investigate sleeping dead people.
Outside we find two gargoyles in stone form overlooking town, we destroy them.
We go to Church of and immediately are forced to save against Super Sleep. Helga fails.
We find a mirror with Falagars master trapped inside it, Tyrdin touches the mirror and we all fall asleep.
We wake up to find ourselves in a circular room with 7 doors, 1 with 6 keyholes the others with none.
In the center of the room is a vending stand with a small bell on it.
Rusty rings bell and Simkin appears, note the vending stand looks different to everyone.
Everyone but Rusty yells at Simkin for a while, then eventually go against his advice and enter the 3rd door. We all have to open the door as a unit before it will open.
Inside we find a great feast on a table.
Rusty pockets a note on the table and then sits down to eat.
Simkin joins him.
The others spend 90 minutes discussing how the walls, until Rusty yells at them to sit down and eat.
Once everyone is eating, the puzzle is solved and a trap door under the table is revealled.
Through the trap door we find eight shadows that look like Tyrdin's mom.
Through failed heal checks and swordplay the shadows are dispatched and we get treasure and a key for the 7th door.
We then enter Falagars door and find a circle of stones.
Falagar is attacked by a Mage Bear then runs away and cowers.
The rest of us engage the bear in combat, that is marked by an average attack roll of 4.3 over 6 rounds.
Action points are used, dailies are used, bear is currently engaged by Helga and Rusty with a Dretch and Simkin offering assistance, the controlles and strikers are attacking at range.
Round 7 begins Thursday at start of game, we will be level 4 after combat.

There is also a secondary source of death in the dream realm that Jay can explain in further detail.

He already did

The HPOD can be deadly. Physical travelers in the HPOD need to make Will save every hour (DC 15 +1 per hour spent in the HPOD) or start becoming more and more translucent and ephemeral. They suffer 1d4 points of CON damage per failed save (this damage does not affect a creature's hit points). When they reach Con 0 they turn into dream spectres, creatures of pure thought that have no bodies and are lost in their dreams, leaving their bodies as heaps of rotting flesh behind. People that only mentally enter the HPOD do not have this problem unless they remain for a long period of time.
so far only me and helga are affected, and we've taken 4 damage each

Of course I failed my will.

How does CON damage manifest in the dream world? I get that I'm starting to fade out, but does my CON represent some extra dream world HP total, or do my CON abilities/skills/powers/HP/surges/et cetera begin to suffer?

And why is it even happening? According to your description of events, we fell into a heavy induced sleep. That to me seems like we entered the HPOD mentally, not physically. Or am I missing something?

Tyrdin touched a magical mirror. It likely transported our physical forms into the HPOD. as for the rest, ionno

So on average Helga dies in 8 checks and Falagar, Rathkor die in 9 checks, Rusty in 10 and Tyrdin in 11

Haha, never.

Jay's game is always one where sleeping means getting robbed blind in the best of scenarios.

Although I will say I'm looking forward to getting my money back from the Simkin.

Besides, we're already sleeping, wakka wakka hey.

I expect to wake up after adventure with all my dailies and surges replenished. ;)

I have an interesting concept for a character that i might have to run by jay first, should the time come up.

We should all take characters from the same location and all take the same tribal feats just to make his brain explode.

We find a mirror with Falagars master trapped inside it, Tyrdin touches the mirror and we all fall asleep.
Rathkor's master.... SALVATORE the Elf?!

And to be honest, everyone failed their saving throws in traditional epic fashion except for Tyrdin, who failed to react in time to spot... THE MADNESS.

Rusty rings bell and Simkin appears, note the vending stand looks different to everyone.
Helga – Selling Dwarven Secrets! Now offering “How to find your unreliable husband!” guide for newbies.
Tyrdin – Selling the Blood of Innocents! Dad? Mom? Nothing says family like murder and guilt!
Falagar – Selling the Fanciest Tales! Now with complimentary colored gloves to improve performances!
Rusty – Selling Drow’s bane! Secure your pockets full of sunshine! Half off! Limited supplies!
Rathkor – Selling Moldy Elven Ears! Great at pointing the direction of proper spell casting!

The others spend 90 minutes discussing how the walls, until Rusty yells at them to sit down and eat.
Tyrdin saw some interesting things as well....

We should all take characters from the same location and all take the same tribal feats just to make his brain explode.
