dey-uhI worked with a couple that used to play the game. And they would mispronounce the name of the game and really confuse the hell out of their coworkers.
"When we get home we are going to play Do Sex."(Deus Ex)
I never thought the game was that hard. Well, maybe the first time I played it, and tried to play it like a shooter. That made it hard.I wanted so much to love the original, but the aged graphics and the OMGWTFPWN difficulty level forced me to lower my rating to merely "quite like it."
Excellent story though, gotta say.
"Maybe its bes I don kno da pacifics!"Man, the new game has some iffy voice acting in places, but fuck:
Yeah, that's definitely the point where most people go "Man, FUCK the Pacifist achievement! THOSE BASTARDS WILL PAY." I kept up my no-kill run because at that point I didn't have any decent weapons, though.I love the level of Immersion in this game.At first I was the Paragon of Good.Always Non-Leathal and as little as possible contact with the enemy. After the Airplane crash in Hengshua I was like: "How dare they kill my pilot!Belltower and everyone that dealt with them will suffer!"
From that point on,it was non-stop headshots with an Silenced,Armore-piercing 10MM Handgun.
Just rescued Dr. Girlfriend Reed. I guess the game is doing it's job when it affected me emotionally when I put together that she was shacking up with that fucking cripple. I was pretty mad.

It was bad enough seeing those fuckers drag Faridah out of the plane, execute her in cold blood and start gloating about it. Then I found her corpse in the Harvesters' hideout, meaning Belltower sold it to be stripped of augumentations before her blood was even cold. It was one of the saddest moments I have ever experienced in a videogame.
I wasn't so much mad as rather intrigued as to why she would address Namir not only by his first name but in such an affectionate tone considering the guy killed half her colleagues and smacked her in the face with his flayed robo fist. Keep in mind that when Namir mentioned "the things we love" we wasn't necessarily referring to Reed: according to the tie-in novel, Namir has a family. I'm willing to chalk Reed's reaction to Stockholm syndrome. Dunno why her lab looked like someone blew up a can of white paint in the 2001: A Space Odyssey hotel room, though.
On the other hand, that post credits scene made me go "THAT BITCH!". She's going to work on the friggin GREY DEATH? WHAT THE HELL?
At the end of the game the exact opposite is true, I can't find any 10 mil pistol ammo anywhere and it's my favorite gun. Combat and heavy combat rifle ammo pour out of everything. Is anyone else having trouble finding ammunition for certain weapons? I always have plenty of 10mm pistol and shotgun ammo on hand but am always critically short on the combat rifle and sniper rifle.
I can't wait for the weekend so I can log some serious time in this. I only just got out of the first city.

Well at least my super upgraded combat rifle will see some use then (plus my guy is all set up for fully auto firefights). At the end of the game the exact opposite is true, I can't find any 10 mil pistol ammo anywhere and it's my favorite gun. I have to agree with Jay here... even with my in your face shoot first and ask questions later playstyle I rarely find myself overmatched (or even having to retreat). My guys is a hacker sneak take down specialist.
Still find the game easy as fuck even on hard.
That video is pretty much bullshit.I've not played DEx:HR, so could someone tell me if this video is a commentary on modern games in particular, or is it a parody of Human Revolution specifically?
Take two praxis points. Purchase the typhoon system, and stock up on typhoon ammo. The biggest problem with being sneaky is that if you go that way the boss fights will be brutal, regardless of what Jay says. That first boss fight was a motherfucker for me because my build was sneaky/hacky.
The second boss fight was even worse. She sneaked just as well as me.
I got rid of mine. Every time I tried to sneak, instead of F3 & F4 to walk quietly and use my SUPER VISION, I'd accidentally hit F2 and kill everyone around me.Take two praxis points. Purchase the typhoon system, and stock up on typhoon ammo.
I call it the problem solver, works great for bosses.
I kept doing that too, so I just reassigned the typhoon key to "t" so it never happened again.I got rid of mine. Every time I tried to sneak, instead of F3 & F4 to walk quietly and use my SUPER VISION, I'd accidentally hit F2 and kill everyone around me.
One of my favorite moves is to open a door while a guy is looking at it, then hug the wall. They walk through the door to check out why it opened and you do a takedown on them as they pass. I liked it because it was a realistic way to get the jump on people.Although I never even installed any silencers... I want them to know I'm coming.
Ah you can do that? I may have to look for the command. Everything I pick up was just for moving and dropping, and the tutorial didn't mention anything about throwing. I will give it a check but I guess it's a different button then the interact button (E).Keep your eye out for boxes. Throw them wisely.
That's odd because I swore I have hit the trigger before and got nothing while holding a box. It's shoot.
If you have the silenced pistol at least, you can fire a shot and the NPCs will investigate where the bullet impacted, not where it was fired from. One thing I wish I had was a way to distract guards, like throw something to make them look a direction, or even use it to lure a guard to a spot I want him to go so that I can sneak up behind him without his friends. I would fire a gun, but that just makes all of them look for me. I want something more like the door trick in that, usually, only the guard that sees it and not all his buddies go to check it out.
I mean really, it can be anything, some rocks, a soda can, maybe throw some spare ammo. Maybe I can hope for an update someday.
Nice, that may be a better option then. Just have to get a silencer. If you have the silenced pistol at least, you can fire a shot and the NPCs will investigate where the bullet impacted, not where it was fired from.
You can do that.

Fo sho.B: Cops don't fucking like having cardboard chucked at them. If someone I was supposed to work with threw a cardboard box at me, I probably wouldn't respond with automatic weapon fire.
I killed both in non-lethal ways... Just kept shooting them with the stun gun until they fell. I think the first one took something like 19 shots though. The biggest problem with being sneaky is that if you go that way the boss fights will be brutal, regardless of what Jay says. Yeah. bosses 2-whatever AFTER I got the cloak were simple affairs, the first dude when I had no combat or stealth skills was a fuuuuucking nightmare. If you have the Cloak ability, even LVL 1 it changes everything. Without it, it will be harder.
I killed all bossed with my tranq gun on hard setting.
I didn't find it hard at all, then again I had the Cloak ability.
I didn't think it was so hard as long as youthe first dude when I had no combat or stealth skills was a fuuuuucking nightmare.
I always run out of juice and can't do it again. The battery thing in this game is dumb as fuck. You can have 5 batteries but resting only refills 1?!? Dumb, dumb, dumb.Cloak mod made you able to move places very nicely. 7 seconds to place myself anywhere I want? Yes plz.
I don't get your phrasing, how is that any different than the system in HR?I'm kinda puzzled as to why they didn't make the single rechargeable battery the one that gets used first. That would seem to encourage the use of powers in short bursts, while still paying a price for more spectacular displays.
Maybe I misread what others have said about the battery system. I should have made it clear I haven't played HR.I don't get your phrasing, how is that any different than the system in HR?
I took that to mean that if you have non-rechargeable batteries, those have to be used up before the rechargeable battery gets used. I agreed with Jay, if I were making the system, I would have the rechargeable get used first.- Don't like the battery system. Only the last battery recharges thus this means if you use consumables to get the other battery charges, any ability you use will burn the non-rechargable ones first then your "last hope", this should have been done different such as to burn the rechargable one first then dip into your ressources. Basically this means I'm not using my abilities/fun mechanics as much as I can.
Nope. Basically, the rightmost battery you have (that is, the one currently being used) is the only one that regenerates. So partial uses of a battery are covered by the recharge, but if you use all of it, it'll only be able to refill the next one (which is already full, or close to).I took that to mean that if you have non-rechargeable batteries, those have to be used up before the rechargeable battery gets used. I agreed with Jay, if I were making the system, I would have the rechargeable get used first.
