if you think that's funny, you're endorsing/condoning calling trans women men, which is either stupid or deliberately hurtful, you can pick which!
- Option 3: They are not of American culture, and their first language is not English, meaning that they may have different conceptions of those words than you do. It's very ethnocentric and short-sighted of you to immediately assume that the prevailing cultural-linguistic mores of your in-group are universally valid amongst westerners, english-speakers, or humans.
- Option 4: They are operating under older standards of gender non-conforming language. I've seen many transwomen harrassed for calling themselves trannies, because "like omg that's oppressive". Many older trans people identify(ied) as gay people of their assigned gender, for example.
- Option 5: They have not thought through these kind of arguments before, which means that they find the image funny through neutral-intentioned ignorance--reducing lack of knowledge to either malicious or stupid (nice ableist slur, you shitlord :3 ) is frankly very shitty of you.
- Option 6: They posted this because they believed others in the forum would find it funny, and were not endorsing the image's message. They may believe that meme propagation has diminishing negative returns (i.e. once a meme reaches a certain level of saturation, additional repetition does not cause additional harm), or that posting it would engender good discussion, for example.
- Option 7: They may be uncomfortable with their assigned gender and trying to engage in transphobic banter in a semi-private setting in order to re-assure themselves and lessen their discomfort/dysphoria/anxiety. You are not an arbiter of what is good for an individual's mental health, and you are (afaik) not trans, so you do not get to take offense on behalf of them. Ame calling this out, for example, would be a different matter due to the level of personal offense (in which case it would become an issue of competing needs).
I would like to add another possibility , but because I do not want to ruin @Denbrought's post I will do so thusly:

Option Theta: The Zorblox of Omicron III find the concept of a gender differentiation confusing, and thus frequently make use of memes that intentionally confuse male and female humans in order to highlight this.

Excuse you, but calling me "anti-ZorBlox" implies that I'm against Zorbloxkins just because I happen to be hating on Omicronian Zorbloxes. It just so happens that Omicronian Zorbloxes cannot be oppressed, because of *handwave*, so your statement is actually super-offensive to all Zorblox of Elsewhere (ZoE for short).

TLDR version - the ATF sold "assault weapons" to mexican drug cartels in an effort to track the guns through the arms network, hopefully to break it up. Except they pretty much didn't follow up on anything after the "sell the guns" part and the whole thing blew up in their face when those guns were discovered to have been used to kill US border agents. But the media did their damnedest to hush it all up because the story broke in 2012 (election year). The Obama administration did their best to squelch the whole thing, invoking executive privilege and, when that failed, simply not complying with judicial orders to turn over information/evidence, right up until the point where Attorney General Eric Holder threw himself on his sword for Obama and resigned. He made history - the first AG ever held in contempt of congress.
