I've had some weird red, inflamed, lumpy skin thing under my right arm for a few days now. I thought it might've been some allergic reaction or just a slight skin irritation gone bad, but antihistamine and fucidin (anti-coagulant or something?) don't seem to make any difference, and it's still spreading. Now my whole armpit is swollen up and pressing on my ribs, making it painful to breathe. Off to the doctor's it is, I guess
If we don't hear from you shortly we shall assume the worst and prepare a mourning followed quickly by laying claim to any of your worldly possessions.

Not just yet, Sparhawk, sorry :-P Stress-related outbreak of Herpes Zoster. Great to be told I'm too late for any of the painreducing medication, though. I'll live, but my nieces and nephews who I've gone to a theme park with just a few days ago, can all go to the doctor to be checked for chickenpox. Oops.
You may recall me ranting about a friend from highschool who was rushing into getting married after dating a guy for like 3 months. (Not to be confused with my other friends who who announced their engagement over facebook. I'm a groomsman for that one and actually really excited for it. That's in October). Well Saturday is the day. It's way up north in a town with literally no hotels or motels to stay at, so the plan was to get a ride back to our hometown after and spend the night at another friend's. Buuuuut her parents aren't cool with us spending the night anymore, so now I have two days to sort out a ride back to my parents' place.
The girl I've been seeing is heading home to Creemore this weekend for work. She's in Waterloo for school and ultimately wants to live here, but she's a landscapare and works on really small jobs day-to-day, and work is running out around this area. She's running low on money and so is going back to Creemore for like a month or so to take advantage of the steady work there before coming back to Waterloo.
This bothers me because a) I won't be able to see her much for that month (might go up next weekend for some beerfest they're having) and b) she doesn't want to be my girlfriend officially until she's in a more stable place. I can tell she wants to but doesn't want to agree to anything and then leave town for a while. I understand but

Cottage country just outside of Fenelon Falls. (Yeah "Way up north" was kind of an exaggeration) The closest hotels would have been in Linsey, otherwise there was like one or two B&Bs. A lot of the guests actually pitched tents to stay in after the reception. We just left early.
Anyway, it all worked out.
It went well. She was just as nervous about it as I was. We're going out for a proper date on Friday now. Apparently, I will be the first guy since she started using the internet for dating that managed a second date. The first two were total trogs.

That's one heck of a physical challenge.
So, I went to my local pub for dinner this evening with my buddy who has just decided to leave his girlfriend of 4 years and he was super bummed out over it all. So we we're having a few pints to dull them thar feelings. Anyways, the pub seems to have hired a new group of waitresses and I'd like to ask the manager where he finds these girls. This girl was 5'11", raven haired with...maybe the best body achievable by a woman (or barely a woman, she couldn't have been older than 19). She's definitely getting added to the mental cache of women that I dream about that tell me all of my flaws as a person.
And she must've been from England, but grew up here because she only had the very slightest of accents.
