I'm really not surprised about the Tracer stat, considering the flood of tears when Blizzard released the holiday comic.

Especially the ones that weren't mad about her being gay, but being with a new character instead of Widow.

There's also a growing sadness in the Phara/Mercy group due to those chocolate-trading quotes from Genji/Mercy.

Shipping is hilarious.

It... did seem kind of a cop out to me that they manufactured a girlfriend for her out of whole cloth with no previous lorebuilding, but not THAT big a deal. Certainly not as big a deal as was made of it.

There's also a growing sadness in the Phara/Mercy group due to those chocolate-trading quotes from Genji/Mercy.

She has been conditioned to not feel emotion, since it makes her a more efficient killer, but that does not mean cracks don't show. Her dead husband Gerard seems to be a huge sore point for her, as she get noticeably angry when Ana makes a comment about him in the game, and then you have the new comic.


Someone that has no emotion likely wouldn't visit their dead husbands grave on Chirstmas Eve.

Either way, shipping has always been silly. Honestly, I find it funny some of the gymnastics people have been using to try and counter Genji / Mercy, like how since she is his doctor and saved his life, it would be unethical for them to date or become romantic. You know what ELSE is unethical?


Dating one of your friends daughters that you knew since they were a kid.

That, and pretty much every institution, especially military ones, have rules against superiors fraternizing with subordinates. Assuming that standard "doctors are officers" type rules apply to Overwatch, she'd basically be superior to everyone other than the Strike Commander, who was Jack Morrison, and is now, I guess, Winston?

I honestly feel bad for Gearbox. CEO Randy Pitchford, for whatever reason, decided to tweet about how a Battleborn porn subreddit appeared just hours after it was created.

I mean, I get it, a lot of people saw the explosion of Overwatch Rule34 and thought it was a huge boost to the games press, but that fanbase grew organically around the game, not forced by the company that made the game. Randy tweeting about it just looks like a sad attempt at keeping his game relevant now that it's down to bargain bin prices with only a couple hundred players online at a time. Maybe if he posted something like this back when Blizzard was cracking down on the OW Rule34, it would have made him look like a street hero of all the porn fans out there, but now? It hurts him more then it helps him.

Every time I see or read anything about Randy Pitchford it sounds like a desperate attempt to keep him and his company relevant now that they've released stinkbomb after stinkbomb. Dude needs to fold it up and move on.
