Random Video Game Crap

Still excited to play Witcher 3, though I don't know if I believe the turbohype reviews. It'll be flawed and buggy and janky here and there like the past Witcher games. But I really enjoyed them and I'm stoked for Witcher 3 nonetheless.

Here's the launch trailer, I've spoilered it with a warning of a weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee bit of nipple contained therein, if that offends you or your place of work.

I think I'm totally losing interest in video games. There's just all so repetitive. It's all whack or shoot that other guy until his colored bar disappears but don't let your colored bar disappear first. I miss good puzzle games or story driven games, which seem to be lacking lately. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. I've been playing Borderlands 2 GOTY, but that's mostly for the funny dialogue. The gameplay itself is a snooze.

I'm guessing you've played through all the Professor Layton games, because those are story driven puzzle games. If not, I think there's seven of them now and they're all supposedly fantastic. They're on DS and 3DS, so if you're only looking on PC, then that's the wrong place.

Maybe try some adventure games? I've recommended them many times before, but I'm rather fond of the Blackwell games.

Thomas Was Alone
Little Inferno
Papo & Yo
Stacking

and I've heard Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is good for story driven puzzles as well, but I haven't played it yet.

@jwhouk Splatoon, in the top panel, involves getting paint all over everything. Super Mario Sunshine involves cleaning things off with a water-spraying backpack, and is often considered to be one of the less fun Mario games because it gets to really feel like work.
