Random Video Game Crap

Argh. I got a $25 credit to Steam and I don't know what to get with it. So far, I mostly got some super cheap indie games. Thinking about getting South Park: The Stick of Truth, but I don't know if I'm a big enough South Park fan to really get it.

So far, I got:
-Life is Strange
-Dropsy
-The Howler
-Pony Island
-Shelter 2

AVGN tries out a fun departure from the norm with this year's Christmas episode.

I knew Sega had a lot of peripheral junk, but Goddamn.
Oh yeah. They had a fuckton of garbage accessories. Gimmicky hard to use bullshit. At the time I was kind of impressed they were going in so heavy on hardware instead of software like Nintendo.

How times have changed.

Even if you're not a SP fan, it's a fun RPG with some pretty solid writing. If nothing else maybe watch a video of the first 15 minutes or so.

I have, especially when it first came out. If it was closer to $5-6, I'd definitely get it. But I'm not sure if it's worth $10 for me.

Also really wish Firewatch was 75% off, but it's too new.

Stories: The Path of Destinies was my choice to grab this sale.

Got Tyranny :D. It runs smooth and pretty. Though my wife wants to watch me play, so that's going to slow progress i.e. can't play while she's asleep.

She got me Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 for PS Vita--at the time, it wasn't known it would be re-released on PS4. Which is fine, I can play anywhere/anytime, only downside being that the online is entirely dead.

Another Kickstarter update from HBS' BattleTech, explaining how they're going to do Melee, and they've made it simple and awesome.

Basically, there will be one Melee command: "Engage", which will be available when your Mech is within striking range of a target. Depending on relative sizes and what the Mech has to work with determines if your Mech kicks, stomps, body-checks, or punches. Damage will be high, since it's a risky move, and based on tonnage. As an addendum to that, though, small weapons - machineguns, small lasers, flamers - will also be part of the melee attack. Essentially, the punch or whatever damages the armor, and then the small weapons fire at point black to hit vulnerable spots. You can also buy custom actuators and what not for your Mech to be better at melee combat. Melee attacks will have a good chance of knocking another Mech down, as well.

Death From Above is a special attack separate from the Melee attacks.

But it looks like they really thought this out and are working to make it fun, simple, and effective. battletech-disarmed.gif battletech-flamepunch.gif battletech-knockedthefuckout.gif battletech-onearmedpunch.gif battletech-whiff.gif battletech-youfeelsomething.gif

I think it's time they bring back the Axeman, Hatchetman, Buccaneer, Berserker, and Black Knight if they are going to be bringing melee into the game...

They did mention trying to get access to the Hatchetman. Maybe there's a weird licensing issue?

I don't have one because my hand is too small for that part of my wrist to touch anything but air when I use a mouse. :p

I don't have one either. Might be because I use a claw grip on my mouse.[DOUBLEPOST=1483060623,1483060302][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, she's hot.

I don't have one, but I always try to set my chair height so my wrists are parallel with the desk, and my forearms rest on armrests if I'm tired.

That one's true.

Though my Vita seems to get Steam-ish sales, enough that I can buy crappy games that get good reviews, but are ultimately dull for cheap (Rogue Legacy). But I love having a PS1 library in my hands, bunch of low-cost indie games, etc. The Vita's great for playing games from other systems/PC and getting them at a bargain :p.

This poor handheld. Never stood a chance against Nintendo because Sony wouldn't support it and dicked over customers, but it's such a nice little machine.

The Vita really is a lovely piece of hardware that never got any support. Quite sad.

On the other hand... it has been hacked to hell and back and has a ton of homebrew and emulators out there for it.

Dude, im am on your side here. I am through and through PC. Just found the error amusing.
I was replying to someone else, not sure what happened there.[DOUBLEPOST=1483152402,1483152357][/DOUBLEPOST]

Great now let's do that to the 3DS, fuck paying $250 for a handheld.
