Romelu Lukaku - A Portmanteau

Romelu Lukaku - a Belgian soccer player - has said that his name is a portmanteau of his father's three names: ROger MEnama LUkaku.

My dad was Paul William Nihsen. That means my name would be Pawini. My son's would be Dapani. HIS son would be Zanani.

What would your name be? (If female you can use your mom's married name.)[DOUBLEPOST=1464107706,1464107602][/DOUBLEPOST]My daughter (using my wife's name) would be Keanni and her daughter would be Saloni or (if she marries her current boyfriend) Salose.

Jun's would be (Using her mother's name) : Pish or Shpi
(Using her Father's name): Gaxuli or Lixuga depending if you do traditional Last/First or First/Last

Christopher Stanley David Piers (he goes by Dave)

So, mine would be Chstdapi.

Hurm. Doesn't really work with me, does it?

My son's name would be Nicopi. That's not bad.

Repa. My girflriend's sister's son is similarly named after godmother and godfather.

Dave, three names are only common in specific religious groups. Catholics amongst others.

hold on, I just remembered father does have three names. Eh, we don't use them much. I wouldn't be Repa, I'd be Relojo. Better, I guess?

Your dad only has two names? Huh. I thought three was pretty standard.
In the USA, sure.
Still, my wife has 4 names, sister-in-law just a middle initial (like Truman), took until the 3rd one before the standard 3-name happened.

Yeah my grandfather on my dad's side only had a middle initial, and I think my grandmother had no middle name.

Also, my dad's middle name is actually my grandma's maiden name.

Anmaga, maternally-speaking. And had there been a Li'l Z-ette, she'd be Lymach. I'm pretty amused by both those results.

Aw, Li'l Z could have been Milach, Misakach, or Sakach. Or would it be Chsaka, if we're going traditional Chinese with surname first.

The problem with this naming convention, though, is that for the male line, the first two and last two letters of the name will never change.

If Romelu does the same thing for his son, his name would also be Romelu (his middle name is also Menama). If Romelu gives his son a different middle name, however (for instance, I don't know, Howard), his grandson would be named Roholu. And then it just continues down the line.
