I thought it was because they were humming a basso continuo?...oh and now you can also see why calling something "Baroque" frequently means "excessively complex and/or over-ornamented."

Was referring more to the later lute and whoever decided, "You know what would make a lute even better? MOAR STRINGS."I thought it was because they were humming a basso continuo?
He addresses that specifically in the post where he asks:I love how people are debating about a mythical place where musical styles could have evolved differently so all arguments are basically moot.
--PatrickFantasy setting aside, and the impossibility for anything to be accurate in regards to a fake history, I'm curious as to just how anachronistic the song is in regards to real world medieval bard music.
Not to mention that it's also a place that humans aren't native to in the 1st place: https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/Conjunction_of_the_SpheresI love how people are debating about a mythical place where musical styles could have evolved differently so all arguments are basically moot.
My memory of Blue Thunder as an elementary schooler is an hour of boring adults doing boring things followed by 30 minutes that made me happier than a puppy. That's because our hero pilot/cop takes to the sky in his armored murder-copter to do battle with police cars, other choppers, and a couple F-16s. For reasons.
Airwolf, by contrast, was a totally different thing. It was a TV show that ran on CBS from 1984 to 1986 before squeezing out one more season on the USA network. It also involved an experimental military chopper flown by a sullen ex-Army pilot with the shockingly preposterous name "Stringfellow Hawke." [My editor says that] if you watch all of Airwolf in order you can actually see star Jan-Michael Vincent get progressively drunker and more checked-out as the show goes on.
--PatrickGot it? Good. Now let's turn to the important questions these two helicopter franchises raise. One: which machine is more awesome? And two: would I emerge from this project with my sanity intact?
I got chucked down that particular rabbit hole by some redditor friends last night. Are you at least 35 years of age and male?
If so, here is an article that may interest you:
Let’s settle the question of Blue Thunder vs. Airwolf once and for all

No way. Airwolf was an invincible engine of destruction with unlimited range. Blue Thunder was just a cop car in the sky.Blue Thunder with Roy Scheider AINEC.
Yes. And that’s what made it more relatable. No way. Airwolf was an invincible engine of destruction with unlimited range. Blue Thunder was just a cop car in the sky.

WATCH PICARD NOW!!!!!
*thumbing the VPN* which country was that again? After Discovery I was worried about Picard. Just watched the first episode and it was awesome. It's like Star Treks "Logan". Can't wait for the next episode next week. Best thing the first episode didn't felt confusing so even people who didn't watched Star Trek can follow. But I bet the purist neckbeards will complain that the future of the 24th century looks like the worlds in 20 years and the aliens are too human.
And if you wonder, I watched it legally on Prime. Amazon got the license for my country from CBS .

Are you watching these in chronological order? As in, have you watched Defenders yet?So I'm finally catching up on the Marvel Netflix shows. I plowed through Jessica Jones S2, which I wasn't into at first but got into more as it went along. Not as nerve wracking great as the first season, but still good.
Luke Cage S2 was next and THAT I really enjoyed, more than the first season. It was more consistent and didn't try switching villains halfway through like S1. I didn't like the villain at first because of the strong Jamaican accent, but DAMN if the writing didn't pull me in.
Now I'm into Iron Fist S2 and it's...okay. I know the first season is generally crapped on, but I thought it was okay. This one is getting stronger as it goes. I'm digging the HELL out of Alice Eve in this. Fantastic acting on her part.
Although, once Misty Knight shows up, it kind of turns into The Colleen & Misty Show and I am ALL FOR IT. Seriously, they're great characters, the actresses are phenomenal, and their chemistry is off the charts. I'd love a Daughters of the Dragon series.
Daredevil S3, Punisher S2, and Jessica Jones S3 (in that order) will be next and will finish these shows. It's disappointing how it seems the love and talk for these died off because despite some flaws and perhaps dragging at points, these are good shows.
It's a shame they not acknowledged in the MCU films. Even briefly cutting to some of these characters watching each other turn to dust during Endgame. I hope we see some of these actors return in some form or another. Though I doubt we'll see them in an R-Rated form again.
I have. I'd been watching them as they came out, but fell off at Punisher. I watched that I think last year (and really liked it), then tried moving onto Jessica Jones S2, but I couldn't get into it. But yeah, I'm watching them in order of the original release datesAre you watching these in chronological order? As in, have you watched Defenders yet?
I tried to get back into Star Trek online after years of not playing and found myself overwhelmed by all of the new game mechanics and content.Honestly @Frank ... as someone who's a HUGE fan of Star Trek Online? The destruction of Romulus is one of the better things that has happened to Star Trek
There really isn't a reason not. It's not like it's hard to level anymore; Disco and Delta patrols give a full level each the first time you do them a day and practically every episode does as well. Some things to keep in mind...I tried to get back into Star Trek online after years of not playing and found myself overwhelmed by all of the new game mechanics and content.
Is it best just to start a new character when getting back into it?
