That looks really good for a tv show
It really feels like Hulu was the weakest link of the entire package, especially since it can be used for free with ads. I'm not surprised Disney is pushing so hard for people to get onboard with Hulu, if only so they have a place to dump stuff they don't want to have the "Disney branding" they'd get on Disney +.
If not for the live TV option, I wouldn't be using hulu at all. But it's nice to come home on a Saturday or Sunday morning, and F1 or Premiership football is on. Or wake up on certain nights to college football or NFL.

Spoilers for Encanto:
Honestly, my favorite part of the entire movie is during "We Don't Talk about Bruno"...
During Dolores's part, you can see Bruno sneaking across the upper floor hallway WAY in the background, only to start vibing to the song about him briefly before it cuts to Camilo's part.
OK, so I may be hopelessly late with this, and it's a bit of a non-issue anyway, but I just found out that they cast a Latina actress as Snow White in the upcoming live action remake.
Now, a black Little Mermaid? Fine. Cinderella? Could be anything. Snow White? HER LITERAL NAME IS LINKED TO HER LOOKING as white as snow. She is described as white as snow with raven hair, and she is the absolute exemplar of the beauty ideal of being as white as porcelain from not having to go outdoors etc etc.
It may be an outdated beauty ideal, and you may think it's silly, but....This is like making a Batman movie, "but since bats get a bad rap as creatures of the night, we'll be using goat iconography". Could be a great movie, but it's not batman at that point.
It may well be fair to say Snow White is a story that can't really be retold properly with modern sensibilities - it's about the beauty of white, the hard-working big-nosed social recluseJewish dwarfs little men, it's one big walking cliche. A re-interpretation (Huntsman, and what have you) is perfectly fine, the themes are of course fairly universal. But....Yeah, this one is probably the first where I do feel like they'll make a movie with a black guy playing Churchill* soon.

But you wouldn't call it "Batman" if the main character dressed like an owl.
Snow White's beauty is a big part of the plot. "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?" The wicked queen is jealous because someone is more beautiful than she is, so she sets out to kill Snow White. Who is called Snow White because her beauty is like that of fresh snow. If she's beautiful in some other way, then she wouldn't be called Snow White, just like Batman would have a different name if he didn't dress up like a bat.
Plenty of Snow White stories out there. No reason not to play with the formula, counter expectations, etc. to make something new.
I don't know if it would change the story, but it should definitely change the title.
Let's hope they do a better job this time.

Surprisingly not Disney.
You are getting a little too caught up on how her name is based on the original story, and not thinking about how they will change it so her name derives from something else. Just because the original name was derived from her skin color does not mean the story can't change so that she gets her name through other means, like her white teeth, or maybe she was born on a snowy day, or maybe it was a pet name given by the queen as an insult to her darker skin, who knows, we sure don't. She is fictional, so they can really do anything with her while retaining name cohesiveness.
This is a false comparison. Batman isn't his name, it's his alias. His name isn't John Batman, and he designed the persona of Batman and it's iconography specifically around that. This is why say, Spider-Man can be both Peter Parker AND Mile Morales AND Miguel O'Hara. Snow White isn't an alias crafted by her for a purpose, but a name given to her due to a specific thing that happened while she was born. Whether this is her snow white skin being born on a snowy day, or a new variation, it can still be Snow White without breaking any rules, because they don't have any rules. "EVENT AT BIRTH + SNOW = SNOW WHITE" That is the only variable that needs to be true, everything else is fluid, just like "GUY + BAT ALIAS / ICONS = BATMAN" whether it's Bruce Wayne, Damien Wayne, or Terry McGinnis.
Yet another false comparison. Snow White is a fictional character and thus isn't set in a specific mold of history. Winston Churchill actually existed, and so unless the movie was a parody (Like Hitler in JoJo Rabbit) they wouldn't just get Idris Elba to play him. The dude has living family that would probably take issue with that, Snow White never existed to have family.
