Working on selling our house, realtor tells us to replace the carpets, and gives us contact info for a company that does carpets for the auto show. $0.25/sqft for good carpet that was used for two weeks at Cobo Hall. Padding is cheaper.
Installer couldn't meet our deadline, so we ripped out the carpet, and yesterday and today we had people from church come over in the evening and help us install it. One of them brought a stretcher and several other tools, and taught the rest of us how to do carpet.

Typically the local mormon congregations will help each other move, but they also help with other projects if you ask. I don't typically ask for help, but I have helped others in the past, and so when my wife asked we definitely received ten-fold what I've done for others...
