Dear Diary,

Today I got some non geologists to engage in geohumor with me. For one brief, shining moment, all was right with the world.

P.S. Not sure if drifter qualifies as a geologist, as he is a rock. With a mouth.

If drifter is himself a rock, wouldn't researching rocks make him a Geneologist?

It does seem to me that increasing voter rolls by approximately 100% would indeed double the "irresponsible vote."

Yeah but it wasn't cancelled for low ratings. It was cancelled because it cost too much to make. Much bigger return on investment with a "reality" show.

It was cancelled because it didn't get enough time to make up the cost to make, which was due to the low ratings, which was due to the bad scheduling by Fox. They could have easily continued the series, selling all kinds of swag, and making movies based on longer episode ideas.

I'm very much willing to bet that shit like Stargate was more expensive per episode than Firefly.

Stargate was filmed in and subsidized by the Canadian government.

Probably why it ran 159 seasons despite being terrible (yeah I said it Stargate fans, that show sucked).

Also, the Groundhogs Day episode was amazing... So was the Wormhole Extreme episode... And the Team America episode.

First few seasons were awesome, but then the ori came in and all the spinoffs started and everything just went tits-up.

Also, can I get a source on those Calvin&Hobbes pictures up above?

Stargate Atlantis = Mostly crap.
Stargate SGU = ALL crap.
Stargate SG1 = early fucking awesome turning to crap.

I totally agree with Wahad, the only thing that brought me back into loving it after the Ori was Claudia Black.
