I think part of the reason is also that this is the Not So Funny pic thread. What is posted here is not just really cool images, but as the NSFL/GORE in the title suggests, alot of it is really... reprehensible. That image is, I believe, the first example of extreme mysogny posted here, but as offensive content goes, it's not really out of place in this thread.

And I think drifter (who I thought was stienman until just now, you lot need to stop swapping avatars it's confusing) and I were both just excited that we recognized the artist. I didn't even read it until after drifter pointed out the shitty joke.

It is a horrible joke. Which is why I posted it here. I thought that's what NSFL (Not Safe For Life) covered. I didn't realize that warning, and the fact that this is the Not-So-Funny thread, would only mean certain types of disgusting things should be posted. I thought this thread was the right place for awful pictures. Apparently I was wrong.

No, no, you are right. If you haven't offended someone or been offended by at least 1 out of 5 posts in this thread I'm pretty sure we as a forum are failing. Don't stop believing.

My understanding is that NSFL stands for not safe for lunch (as in, say, a graphic picture of a car accident might make one lose theirs).. generally though, I, too, was confused that you in particular posted it instead of someone with more misogynist tendencies.

I'd also like to point out, I think everyone is overreacting to bowielee's comment. All he said was that it was the most offensive thing he'd seen on the boards. Nothing about that implies it's out of place in this thread, nothing about that is an attack on WasabiPoptart for posting it. It's merely an observation.

I considered replying as well, saying that it was at least as offensive as some things I've posted, but then I saw what thread I was in and figured it was posted here for that exact reason, so I didn't bother.

They just left. I don't remember either of them leaving, and Disconnected posted recently enough that maybe they're still around, lurking, I dunno. I've tagged Disconnected a few times to get a response so I could find out where to put them on the map but to no avail. Rob King I had forgotten about until recently, and when I looked him up was shocked to find he hasn't posted in 2 years.

Everything about that video was messed up. The awkward way that guy did his "report" and how he kept pointing to things WITH THE MICROPHONE so you couldn't hear what he was saying (I guess he had to use his microphone because he was clutching a kirby plushy the whole time. This does not make it less weird. For one thing, he was WEARING A BACKPACK). And his creepy as shit encyclopaedic knowledge of hentai titles. The fact that he waves off rape scenes by saying that's only "90-80%" of it and the other 10% is "story". Just, hentai in general...

But yeah, I knew that one too.
(I've mentioned this before, but it bares repeating. The girl I dated like 5 years ago was crazy.)
