Work on Sunday had an interesting moment. The same student from last time was a few minutes late, which didn't bother me - when we're not busy, I basically give a 15 minute grace period; if you're in within 15 minutes of your start time, it's okay. If you're later than that, I record it as late. So she was in just like 5 minutes late or so and she was like, "Oh, I'm so sorry, I was running late. I was in such a rush this morning I didn't even have time to put on a bra." Which I already knew, due to her shirt, which was made of apparently really, really thin fabric. I said, "That's fine. I'll have to remember not to send you up or down the stairs, I guess, ha ha ha." She laughed and went, "Yeah, I'd be like this!" and, um, bounced herself like twice.

Pretty sure if this was an anime there would have been a nosebleed or something around here.
You should carry around blood squibs for just such an occasion.

See I saw it as a school teacher not a succubus.
I want to go to your school.

Scratch that, I want to go to your school.

Different student had a minor wardrobe malfunction. I guess she hadn't tested her push-up bra and v-neck top together before. She got something out of her pack at her feet, then took her seat at the desk.

"Um, Monika? You're uh, kind of hanging out there. Like, the collar is under the cup? Just FYI."

Later, Kemal, while working with his younger sister Dilge, found out she's into girls. Lots of Turkish dialogue followed.

Edited: And we had a medical emergency - a student with Type 1 diabetes let their blood sugar get too low and had a hypoglycemic attack. Public Safety was called, they called EMTs, he never lost consciousness fully and he was okay after some treatment.

Been a pretty eventful night.

A while ago, I ordered a proof of my spotless criminal record (for a job), through my city's website. eID, electronic signature, pay by credit card, what have you. Neat. I posted about it in Halforums Premium.
Anyway, it cost me €0.69. I just received the paper. The stamp on it's €0.70.

Ummmmm.....Whu?

I'm writing a post-apocalyptic dark comedy comic, where the only places that weren't burnt to ash by a mysterious fire(right after World peace was achieved) are Texas and Japan. What sounds better for the main character, "Sergio Kurosawa" or "Akira Leone"?

Is your main character primarily Japanese or Texan? And is he usually referred to by his first name or last name? I think that would affect how you name him in your comic.

Half Japanese, half Texan, also possibly throwing in some "Hurricane Joe" influence from Cyborg 009. Thinking raised in Texas though, so maybe Sergio.

Instead of being directly on the nose, try mutating it a little. Like, instead of naming him "Kurosawa", what about Kuro Sawyer? Kuro means "black" in Japanese, so it hints at darkness in the character, and Sawyer of course fits the American west / midwest. "Sergio" doesn't really make one think of Texas.

Basically, don't try and be too referential. What seems clever at first can be cloying after a few chapters.

What? No Shanghai Noon?
Also, I'm trying to remember the name of a movie with a Japanese warrior tasked with bringing in a cowboy, but I don't remember/haven't seen enough of the movie to know if it's one of the ones referenced above. I mainly remember the cowboy complaining about how the Japanese guy never seemed to need to sleep.

Don't forget Six String Samurai, in which Buddy Holly and his katana fight the Russian Army on their way to Lost Vegas and a confrontation with Slash, the Grim Reaper.
