Everyone I know has a favorite "plate lunch" place. If you've never had a plate lunch, it's basically sweaty, braised meat struggling to remain fresh inside a styrofoam clamshell nestled up next to canned vegetables and a slice of Wonderbread. Everyone down here also has at least 5 relatives who braise delicious things weekly, probably much better. How do these shitholes stay open?

I'll buy one for a fundraiser, but that's it.

While browsing my old Reddit posts, I came across something I'd written four years ago and then completely forgotten about. It's the setup for a porn scene in the West Wing universe. And because I'd forgotten I'd ever written this, reading it again felt like I was reading something written by someone who's completely in sync with my literary preferences, you know? It felt good to read.

It's sort of like how it feels to find money in the pocket of a pair of pants you haven't worn for a long time.

Tomorrow is elections day. I hope the current maYor gets reelected. I have two reasons. First, this is the first time that I feel that mayor really cares about the city and doing a good work, second, changing administrations are always a nightmare.

Had a good work day today, but it was a LITTLE annoying that the first Chipotle I went to today had a broken grill. Still open though, presumably to tell customers and the other deliveryfolk that they'd have to call their customers to cancel the order so they still get payed a dollar eighty-six.

I am so glad that you posted this, as I hadn't realized they were touring and just managed to squeak in to see them - they're absolutely phenomenal live! And how cool that you got to "talk shop" with Kevin - he's such a friendly guy (and insanely talented, of course)!
