It's wild to think about how every hour Twitter is down, Musk loses out on literally hundreds of dollars in advertising revenue.
He's not wrong, and this has been obvious for years, but let's be honest: he's only there because he has a ridiculous amount of money, and that's all Trump and the GOP care about. Once they find a way to drain that well, he's getting kicked to the curb.

I have a hard time agreeing, given that it'd be objectively ethical to straight up murder him.
I'm totally down with him being murdered, but pegging is great and he doesn't deserve it.

This might be analogous to "murder is never okay" but sometimes killing isn't murder. Is using private information to destroy a corrupt oligarchy the same thing as violating someone's privacy for personal or prurient reasons?
I think "destroy a corrupt oligarchy" is going a bit far there. Temporarily embarrass maybe. It's the equivalent of saying it's ok to call him a slur just because it would bother him, that's still not ok.

If it undermines his support among his homophobic base, it could definitely contribute to his downfall.
If we play our cards right, we can gradually push this down slippery slope and eventually get MAGA-world to wear t-shirts that say "Real men love other men, physically, and that's ok!"
If the behavior of some subset of the population is putting the survival of the entire species* at risk, that starts to make a very strong case for deleting the troublemaker(s).
