It’s even worse than just that. He was streaming himself playing Path of Exile 2. While it’s a more difficult game, Musk - the gaming genius he is - failed three times to beat the tutorial boss and then rage quit. The tutorial boss, by the way, is SUPER easy and telegraphs literally every attack.

I can almost guarantee he didn't quit because he was mad at the game. He rage quit because the world was seeing how much he sucked at it, and his ego fragility made that intolerable.

I guess I never thought he was some epic god gamer, but I assumed he at least had some level of skill just by virtue of having unlimited free time.

I'm not surprised. It fits the pattern. He claims to be a genius when he is obviously not. He claims that he a shrewd businessman, when he's not.

I would have assumed that, too, but I think his being high-as-fuck most of the time also has something to do with his lack of skill.

There is not enough money in the world that would make me want to share DNA with Musk. Aside from money to raise them, he offers nothing worth having. He doesn't have looks, he doesn't have brains, he's painfully awkward and arrogant; why would I punish any child of mine with potentially inheriting any of his traits? No amount of money is worth that.

Hey, thanks to modern technology, at least you wouldn't have to actually have sex with him. Or be in the same room, even.
Of course, it's not like he'd ever show up afterwards, so you'd practically get to live the rest of your life Musk-free.

Elon Musk’s Grok AI Can’t Stop Talking About ‘White Genocide’

Basically, almost any query made to Grok comes back with some rant about "White Genocide."

Some fun screenshot examples of said search:

When the boss says he wants 10.000% more focus on his desired topic and the yesmen accidentally take him literally.
Current style AI is incredibly easy to manipulate/control by adjusting input and desired output, this is just an overreaction. "more mentions/ties to white genocide" was undoubtedly the intent, but made a bit too blatant. In six months we won't even be able to reliably tell when and how LLMs are being used to shift the conversation. It's fucking dangerous that people believe these things for any sort of information.
There's some good applications, but replacing actual searching on actual sites isn't one of them.

but made a bit too blatant.
You think so? I'd guess that this was aimed completely at the people who already support Trump but might have wavered slightly at the idea of accepting African asylum-seekers as a knee-jerk reaction. Go to their favourite dictator-approved chatbot, tell it to push the narrative that white people in South Africa are the most threatened people in the world, actually!, and don't even worry if it's a transparent bit of propaganda to the non-brainwashed people who still happen to be using Grok for some reason. Goals accomplished with zero meaningful fallout, why spend the time making it subtle?

Come on, it’s not 4D chess. It’s pretty clear he just said “be more sympathetic to white South Africans” and they fucked it up.
Oh, I have no doubt that's exactly how it went down. Musk gave orders and somebody added too many 0's or whatever.

The fact that it happened at all is hilarious.

I don’t think they wanted it in response to a question about a baseball player’s salary.
Wanted it? No, of course not.

Felt like they'd be hurt by it if it happened though? Enough to give more specific directions to avoid it, or pay someone to put the time in to make its occurrence seem natural? I don't think so. The people who are going to see Grok getting "owned" by this and feel like it means something aren't the people who were going to see the words "white genocide" and say "hey, wait a minute, I'm white! Maybe this one's a real genocide!!"

Have you guys considered that they're just trying to shift attention away from the fact that "White Genocide" is usually used amongst racist groups to refer to interracial relationships ?

Maybe Clarence Thomas' assumption that they won't be coming for his marriage was premature...

Clarence Thomas literally called for Loving vs Virginia to be overturned. Dude don’t give a fuuuuuuuuuuuck*

* though I will say since that happened interracial marriage actually did get codified into law.
