Wow...just wow. The one time he actually makes fun of feminism...and its with this disturbing look into one of the sisterhood's psyche. Also, does anyone else find it messed up how much about sex these girls know? This is really creepy.
The wierd part is I don't think he's trying to make fun of feminism, he's trying to lampoon the anti-abortion faction's assertion that life begins in the womb/at fertilization. So really, the tiny femifascist is just a mouthpiece for the Swiftian point he's clumsily trying to make.

Ah I see, could've used a better set-up then...also it could've been actually FUNNY and not really creepy since its a little girl talking about sperm.

Damn, I thought he was trying to make fun of feminism again. You can't love something if you can't knock it down dammit!

Yeah, it's looks a lot like an attempt at satire to bash pro-life advocates. If the arguments the sisterhood was using had actually been analogous, then the disturbing nature of it would be intentional, so he could nod his head sagely at the outrage and say "Exactly, and that's why anti-abortion logic is terrible".

The question is, if she's an astral being like Reynard, trapped in a doll, will destroying the doll kill her... or release her?

True, and there is also the thought that setting her ablaze may do some Monkey Island three thing causing her to turn into a fire demon. Of course in that situation the flames were caused via Voodoo canon ball-BUT STILL!

And if the spiritual laws of Gunnerkrig work like Paranatural than her spirit will latch onto a weapon that spectral children will gain POWER FROM! Also, read Paranatural! Updates at dial-up's pace but the art is good and I like the characters.

Looks like it's just a straight-up cipher. The trigraph which probably spells out "the" or "and" just smacks you in the face on the third page (and the first "word" of the last page).

The artist has said it's written partly in English, partly in German (with 100% of either being an option too), so it muight just as easily be das, der, die or von. The symbols look like "the", to me, but I expect that to be useful only in the most fake-out sort of way.

Also, I find it odd that, in the comments, people seem to ignore any possibility of foreshadowing and/or older comics holding a hash or key. They actually point to comic #411, which, in the author comment, states "great events cast their shadows (far) ahead. If you know where to look for them.", and it's shrugged off as whimsy. That's not *that* long ago - conceivably, this page was already being worked on, and there is/are some clues around there. Not that I'd know.

Anyway, I don't think they're going about it all that masterfully, so far, decryptionwise.

The adventure plot outline was absolutely great. When they are finished with Star Wars they should do a screen capture comic of it.

Actually, I understood they're doing a three-strip version of the adventure before they start on Empire Strikes Back.

Meanwhile, in Girl Genius:

Schweincopters.

Frikkin'. AWESOME!

Ok, well there's a new Achewood comic up. Looks like he's doing roughly 1 per year now.

The alt text is interesting. I'm not sure it really pertains to the strip itself :

"I could say so much, but in time you will know that I mean it."

Very interesting.....

Found this comic on Tumblr:

I'm curious about the art style. I'm guessing it's a parody of/tribute to some other genre or artist, but I'm not sure what. My best guess would be Harvey Pekar, but I'm not familiar enough with his work to be sure.
