wonder if this is a new record. Willis startet yesterday the funding for the new Dumbing of Age book on Kickstarter and after 15,5 hours it was fully funded.
There's an underground punk band if I ever heard one.I will never understand his or anyone's fascination with Taco Bell. What's so trendy about the screamin shits?
So it would show up in web searches? In my continuing search for new web-comics to add to my ever-growing bookmark list I discovered a comic called "Footloose". What is it about? A young magic descendant girl learning martial arts with her parents and godmother, as she's destined to be the protagonist in her story while learning Kung Shoe(A martial art based around shoes)....so nothing like the Kevin Bacon film. Just...WHY WOULD THEY CALL IT FOOTLOOSE?! They HAD to realize what people would associate it with?!
It's been very apparent that Walky was the favorite child for a number of reasons, some of which are legitimately Sal's fault (ROBBED A CONVENIENCE STORE AND STABBED SOMEONE) and some of which are her parent's fault. There is really nothing they can do to fix this unless Walky backs her up and tells his parents off for treating her like they did, but he's not motivated enough yet.Dumbing of Age: This is the kind of shit that never gets fixed because the parents do it without even thinking about it, and it's really frustrating to see.
I may be remembering wrong, but I didn't think Sal stabbed anyone when she robbed the store. I thought it was that Amber's dad gave Amber shit for panicking, then Amber ran back and stabbed Sal.It's been very apparent that Walky was the favorite child for a number of reasons, some of which are legitimately Sal's fault (ROBBED A CONVENIENCE STORE AND STABBED SOMEONE) and some of which are her parent's fault. You're right.I may be remembering wrong, but I didn't think Sal stabbed anyone when she robbed the store. I thought it was that Amber's dad gave Amber shit for panicking, then Amber ran back and stabbed Sal.
Oh right. This is really our first go-around with this.Kind of amazing how Roomiverse Mrs.Walkerton,is a step up in terms of parenting.who plotted a mass conspiracy with the Aliens to create half-human half-martian super-soldiers
AGREED, especially since her life wasn't derailed-... You know, Sal's behavior is also a step-up from Roomiverse Sal.
That's still inappropriate, but you might be right.[DOUBLEPOST=1457214110,1457214048][/DOUBLEPOST]Maybe Mrs Walkerton thinks that Sal is stronger than Walky and he needs more attention. He is a huge manchild after all.
AGREED, especially since her life wasn't derailed-from the Head Alien hunting her down and killing her parents, destroying any sense of normalcy in her life, LEADING her down a road of self-destruction AIDED by crazy brain-washing British people from another dimension.
Yeah, that other time they sneaked out got me to stop reading the comic for months.I feel like Gunnerkrigg Court has these boring subplot arcs because the author wants to do some character development, except nothing interesting is going on and he doesn't realize that we see the characters develop anything when things are actually happening, so there's not reason for these fuck-around interludes unless there's a purpose to it. But there isn't, it's just the kids deciding to sneak out, and then having no idea what to do with that freedom once they have it, and it's just ... meh. Each time.
Because the focal character doesn't act like a kid, mostly because of her distant and emotionally abusive father's unwillingness to treat her as his daughter.Dear lord, One Piece has like FIFTY chapters where they just chill, how does Gunnerkrig fail at it so hard?
And I was like YOOOoooooooooooooo...GUYS! GUYS! GUYS! GUYS! GUYS! GUYS!
Homestuck updated.
Forgive me... I'm channeling years of CCD and dealing with my Catholic family into this:Dumbing of Age: I swear this family cannot comprehend that they almost lost their daughter/sister.
