What are you playing?

Still the game is fairly challenging, and winning the TF2 items are fun.
Really? I found all you have to do is be fairly aggressive with bluffing. They'll raise the pot along with you, and, as long as you get above a preset amount, they will fold if they don't have anything. It can't beat the AI having blind luck, but you should win pretty consistently.

playing against them isn't to hard, but the damn cards are very unlucky to me. After my first post I did win a tournament by betting all-in each hand once it was down to me, the Heavy, and Tycho.

Yeah, got hit by a hell of a cold streak. If I got pair, two pair, or 3 of a kind, the person who won the hand always had what I had, only with a better kicker.

And that's why I haven't gotten Max's lugermorph, Sam's badge, or Tycho's watch yet.

I know, I thought I had it made against Max after the flop (I had a full house) but after going all in and him chasing me with it he ended up with a God damn straight flush on the river. 8 of spades, 9 of spades, 10 of spades to go along with the God damn 6 and 7 he had in his hand.

Just fuuuuuck.

The worst part. Strong bad and I tied on a hand that would have won me Tycho's watch, but the game said Strong Bad won it. WE SPLIT THE GOD DAMN POT!

I just finished playing Enslaved on the 360. I had a really good time with the story and the world itself was beautiful. I found it quite enjoyable.

I have Assassin's Creed 2, Mass Effect 2, Blue Dragon, FFXIII to name a few games waiting for me to play and finish.

What do I do with my day? Play WoW and L4D2.

I grabbed Just Cause 2 in the recent Steam sale, having a blast with it. It's like Grand Theft Auto, except you have a grappling hook and a parachute.

Also, Bolo Santosi's accent is brilliant.

A friend gave us Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, and Edler Scrolls: Oblivion. I take back everything I said about Red Dead Redemption:Undead Nightmare. This game is a lot of fun, and parts of it are genuinely freaky.

I beat Back to the Future part 1 last Thursday. Got a copy of Uncharted from my brother for Christmas so I think I'll be playing that.

Bit behind in posting here, so here's a few:

Red Dead Redemption
Maybe it's because it's a different setting, but I like this more than GTA IV. It's extremely immersive, the story and character is interesting and there's so much to do. I spent a good amount of time just hunting or helping random strangers. But the missions are a hoot, too. One of the last ones I did was rustling up some cows, when lightning struck the tree and I had to wrangle them away from a cliff. This might be a buy for me, if I can find it somewhere cheap. Or I might just wait for a Game of the Year edition that includes Undead and other DLC.

Uncharted 2
While I wasn't a big fan of the first one (especially the endless duck and cover gunfire fights), I enjoyed it for the most part. It was a gorgeous, fun game. This? This basically took any complaints I had about the game and took them away. I seriously couldn't put the controller down, I was enjoying it so much. In fact, I went out of my way (via an FAQ) to collect all the treasures in the game. Now I'm totally stoked for Uncharted 3.

Plants vs. Zombies
Played this briefly on my brother-in-law's new iPad and was immediately hooked on it. :D

Back to the Future - finished the first episode yesterday, and it was awesome. I love Telltale Games.

Metro 2033 - I'm annoyed by the lack of any control over saved games, but I'm still enjoying the atmosphere. This game is genuinely creepy at points, and pretty exciting at points as well. It's got some issues, but it's been a pretty good experience so far.

Blueberry Garden - good gravy is this a strange one. I love the art style, but I have no idea what I'm doing, and I'm having great fun doing it.

Heavy Rain has sucked me in and I can't get out.

Assassin's Creed is going to be a lot of fun, I can tell.

Arkham Asylum, same as above. I'm eager for what's bound to be a long stint of the animated series considering the voice actors.

Those are the newly acquired games for Christmas, but damn do I have so many to finish: Fallout 3, Okami, Zelda: Wind Waker, Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Persona 3, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4, Final Fantasy XIII--oh wait, I'm never gonna finish that PoS. But the others... I gotta stop getting games. Actually, I had stopped. Damn you, Christmas!

Mafia II

Rented it last night and it's...okay. It's gorgeous and immersive as far as feeling like the 40's. But it's presented as an open world, yet you can't really do a lot of roaming. You're basically pulled from one story point to another. The story isn't engaging enough for me to continue it, to be honest.

The storyline is OK though I felt it was a damn shame that there was such a huge beautiful world that was basically EMPTY of additional content unless I wanted to get a police chase going on.

Just started playing RDR today. These games are amazing.

I also just finished playing through Undead Nightmare last night. Well, technically not finished. Still have to complete some challenges and stuff, but like 80% finished, and done the storyline missions.

You can buy Undead Nightmare on its own (That's what we have) and play it without having RDR Vanilla, and I honestly think its worth it. Its short, but because its so open and you have to continually save towns from the undead and there's so much side stuff to do, its a whole game unto itself.
Course if you're buying RDR as well, you might as well get Undead as DLC rather than the seperate disc.

I just finished Metro 2033, and I enjoyed it. It's got flaws, but it's mostly fun. Story-wise, the ending was pretty good. Gameplay-wise, the ending suuuuuucked. Too many "quick-time events" that basically boiled down to mashing the E button through cutscenes to avoid death. Also, platforming is not welcome in an FPS.

Got Ragnorok DS, the Mega Man Zero Collection, and the new Golden Sun for X-Mas. Tried the first two, haven't cracked GS yet. Enjoying them so far. Rag's the closest I've seen to a Diablo for the DS, but damn, do the cutscenes get tiring fast.

Krisken -

17 classes - stat nuts will like it

Touch screen control (mostly - you use the directional pad to move) works quite well.

Lots of post game quests, too. The online stuff is only a 50 level dungeon, and from what I've heard, it's pretty dead now. You'd likely be soloing most of it. The game's been out over a year now, I think.

Pacman Championship Edition DX.

In a word: Awesome. Easily one of the best games I have ever played. I am up to 1.75 million in Championship II 5 minute mode. Hoping to trounce that shit soon. Love this game, worth every penny on PSN or XBL.

Been playing the Chrono Trigger for the DS that I got for Christmas.

It's nice to sit down with a cherished old friend that I haven't seen in a while.

Just got Halo: Reach and enjoyed that.

Also got Fallout New Vegas and quickly beat the main story line. I was a bit pissed when after the main questline is done, the game ends and you can't keep playing to do all the side quests or just dick around. You don't even die! I was lvl 16 when I beat it, there is apparently a very easy way to kill the main baddie at the end I discovered on my own (if you want to know, send me a PM). I have since started a new play-through so that I can do everything, DLC included.

So it's pretty much exactly like how Fallout 3 "blocked" you till Broken Steel release? Laaaaame. Good to know though.

God of War III

Dunno why it took me so long to rent this. I'll blame school, Dead Rising 2 and Smackdown 2011.

Either way, it's damn fun. The GoW games are never really difficult, but they're fun as all heck.
