At least they're not talking about how much they like anime, or telling you their life story . . . while you're trying to save the world . . . from your twin . . . who wouldn't have been able to activate the eponymous macguffin if you'd just stayed home.Man, having 4 of your dominated captains turn on you at once in an ambush is rough city. Especially since they had one of my warlords down with them.
Also, every single new enemy captain having that teleport 4 guys into the fight out of nowhere power is fucking bullshit. That power is fucking bullshit.
Other bullshitty things include enemy captains having like 45 second unskippable precombat babble. JESUS CHRIST LET ME SKIP IT.
"Hello manfilth, I've finally caught up to you you stinky manfilth whose flesh sucks and I'm going to eat it because I am bad and you know what manfilth? You know what? I'm gonna kill you manfilth, because I like to kill manfilth..."
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP
Metal Gear Solid at least had the fucking grace not to interrupt you mid-fight, mid combo to put on a monologue. At least they're not talking about how much they like anime, or telling you their life story . . . while you're trying to save the world . . . from your twin . . . who wouldn't have been able to activate the eponymous macguffin if you'd just stayed home.
Oh, and here's a half hour lecture on nuclear disarmament.
Metal Gear Solid still annoys me to this day, apparently.
I get it, but I really dug that game. Truly beautiful. The Last Guardian: I'm patient to the end of time with the giant puppy, but the actual video game controls for moving my character around are what's making me give up. Back to Gamefly you go.
It really seems like there should be a middle ground in tutorial crafting. You have games like you're describing here (or the plethora of games that have no tutorial at all and you're expected to google it or look it up on a wiki), and the games that cause me to quit and uninstall almost immediately - "Oh, I see you're an experienced 4X player. Would you like to skip the tutorial campaign?" Yes, yes I would. "Great! Since you're an experienced player, we won't waste your time with that bullshit! Now, here's a unit. Click on it to select it and right click on the map where you want to move the unit." (Rest of second campaign is a tutorial as well).I installed Starpoint Gemini 2.
This fucking game is really into info dumps. Here's a tutorial screen. Here's all 11000 things you can currently see. Hope you studied that single screen. Figure it out.
Two questions. Do you have access to a flight stick, and have you tried Elite Dangerous?Help me Halforums.
I want to play a game. I want to play a game that involves some kind of customizable base building or perhaps ship or conveyance or whatever. I don't want to play any kind of survival game like No Man's Sky or anything like that either. RPG shit would be preferable, but really anything. Something I can sink my teeth into. I've just played a ton of action games lately and I need a change of pace.

I do have a pretty nice one, but no I have not tried Elite Dangerous. Wasn't especially looking for a multiplayer game. Two questions. Do you have access to a flight stick, and have you tried Elite Dangerous?
It doesn't have base building, ship customization is a big thing, but for the most part not cosmetically, but I think it has the feel you're looking for.
Then how about something like Castles, or maybe even Besiege?I do have a pretty nice one, but no I have not tried Elite Dangerous. Wasn't especially looking for a multiplayer game.
Elite Dangerous can be played on single player mode (I do it often when I don't feel like fighting, since I've earned a bit of a PvP bounty on me) but it does still require an internet connection, because your acting still affect the background simulationI do have a pretty nice one, but no I have not tried Elite Dangerous. And yet her hair is STILL perfect for some god damn reason.Got the Guardin' Gnome achievement with @Gared and @Aislynn tonight in L4D2! Thing is, I have been using a mod that turns Rochelle into Mai Shiranui, but I didn't know the model has clothing that takes "Battle Damage." At one point, we had to repeat the mall gas-can hunt 4 times, and Aislynn took so much damage she was literally completely nude. It added an extra degree of difficulty to the run because I had to make sure my camera wasn't pointed at her, as much as possible, so that I wouldn't get my stream reported to the Twitchstapo >_<
I didn't want to taint your impression of it, but yeah, that was my experience as well.Fifth, Starpoint Gemini 2 is fucking boring.
The advanced combat tutorial is pretty fucking advanced. Most players aren't able to complete it until much, much, much later in their play experience. So, I'm trying Elite Dangerous.
First off, man, that's a lot of buttons. It's been a long time since I played one of these games. Two, it's very awkward to play with my big ass keyboard between my flight stick and throttle since it's so necessary. Three, why the hell was my landing gear not keybound by default? Jesus. Fourth, getting fucking wrecked in the advanced combat training was pretty demoralizing. Fifth, Starpoint Gemini 2 is fucking boring.
Oh, I think you two have probably had better multiplayer experiences if you think about it.. . . and it was the best multiplayer experience I've literally ever had.
*Now supports up to 32 simultaneous players!Oh, I think you two have probably had better multiplayer experiences if you think about it.
I'm not sure they knew each other when Turok 2 was around, but maybe you're right.Oh, I think you two have probably had better multiplayer experiences if you think about it.
I remember buffering a 5 minute preview video of Raptor multiplayer gameplay in my school's library over 30 minutes from an IGN article. The hype was so real.I'm not sure they knew each other when Turok 2 was around, but maybe you're right.
