What are you playing?

I have no idea what I’m doing in AmongUs, but that’s half the fun. I just keep saying “purple is sus” and it works.

PS - our son is always purple which is why it’s funny

Among Us

I don't know if this is for me. It was fun briefly hanging out with everyone, but I felt completely lost. It wasn't until the end of the last game that I even realized I could view a map by hitting Tab. I had no clue where I was going or what to really do. I was having a hard enough time doing the tasks that I couldn't pay attention to what anyone was doing, whether it was suspicious or not. And had no idea what to say or add to the discussing during voting periods.

I also feel bad because I feel like I just invited myself unannounced and I think I "stole" someone else's spot that was a regular player.

I don't know. Maybe I'll give it another try, but I'm feeling like it's not for me.
You didn't steal anyone's spot. That's literally the first time we had 10 Halforums people in one game. Terrik and Cobra having to swap places was fine because they live together, and Cobra was just being snarky on my stream about Terrik being sus while he wasn't playing.

Your can open the map by hitting Tab?!? This is news to me.

I only discovered it by accident. I thought "Okay, is there a map? In some games like Don't Starve, hitting Tab pulls up a map. Ah, there is! And it shows where your remaining tasks are!"

It helps that I played Don't Starve recently, so that's probably why I thought to try.

I'm doing the post main story Stormblood content in FF14 now. Boy do I continue to hate Uldah. Setting up colonialist exploitation as the best answer for a country ravaged by decades of occupation and oppression is the best solution? By a company literally named after one of the most vile and brutal colonialist tragedies of our own history. Yuck.

Fuck Uldah.

As someone who usually loves games with stories, I was surprisingly drawn into Carrion.

As someone who usually loves games with stories, I was unsurprisingly disappointed that Carrion has no ending. Like, at all.

Started Return of the Obra Dinn, and this is extremely my shit.

In this case? Yes, it is. Godbert Manderville is an... eccentric individual, but he's not exploitative and he's right that charity is only going to go so far in Ala Mhigo. What the country needs is an industry to get it's economy going and it's better to make that industry something like salt instead of waiting for the more... heartless members of the Syndicate to turn Ala Mhigo into a drug state or something. And considering Ala Mhigo itself is RIGHT NEXT TO THE SALT MINE, I doubt the leaders are going to let their workers be exploited in their own homeland after decades of it in Ul'dah.

It's also worth mention that Lolorito Nanarito is only running the place and getting a small share: the Saltery is being funded by the treasure of King Theodric that you just found in that last dungeon. It's not going to owned by him, it's just being managed by the East Aldenard Trading Company.

Well, that Asahi can brag about how I can't shoot him in the fucking face is frustrating. The hell I can't. Bang. Dead. Dealt with. I would have ended him the second he grit his teeth at me.

Post cutscene, put bullets in both their heads. Then remove their heads. Then burn their bodies. WHY HAS NO ONE LEARNED YET.

I feel like if my character had any agency this shit would be over immediately. I would tolerate no bullshit from any villain. The second anyone did anything remotely sinister or off, I would use my power to obliterate them and any memory they may have left upon the world.

When I watched a cutscene where the evil emperor shot an annoying immortal villain in the face for talking to much, I've never identified with a character more in this game.

I just watched the Shadowbringers Gatetown cut scene. The one where the girl is led off to the promised land while the two Harley Quinns handed out food. This is my early call:

Meol used to be called Soylent

If you ever wanted to listen to me and Terrik cry, here you go.
If I'm not feeling lazy, maybe I'll edit it down sometime.

(Here's a brief clip)

Because I love David Cage games, and because it was on sale for halloween, I am playing Beyond: Two Souls. The Ellen Page David Cage Exchange. This game is really good, why did it go unnoticed when it came out?

I mean, I died every time, and kept going back in, I think I'm the one who doesn't fear death.
You were brave, I was unafraid. You can't be brave unless there's fear. And when I was watching your stream at first there was a whole lot of fear going around.

Either way, I really hope you edit down a highlight video for youtube, because I'm sure some of that is solid gold content. I wasn't recording/streaming, but even if I had been, I'd have missed the parts where it was just you and Terrik.

Dead Rising 3

I was in the mood for playing a Dead Rising game, but wasn't sure what to play. I played through and beat DR1 for the first time earlier this year. I own DR2, but for one, the PC port doesn't run well and you need to jump through some extra hoops just to get a controller working. And I already played through DR4 a year or two ago.

But for some reason, I never got around to playing DR3. I think because I heard the port was bad or the game itself was bad. Something put me off. But it was on a big discount recently, so I bit the bullet and bought it.

And I'm honestly really enjoying it. It's not quite as fun as DR1 or DR2, but it's certainly better than DR4. DR4 removed a LOT of the elements that made the Dead Rising series interesting. And DR3 is certainly easier than its predecessors. You don't need a workbench to craft a weapon. The survivors you rescue just disappear on their own, so you don't need to escort them back to a safehouse. But I'm still finding myself enjoying it more than I expected.

So, Beyond Two Souls is basically a game in which you play Beetlejuice. Technically you play as a character named Jodie (played by Ellen Page) and the supernatural entity that is connected to her that she calls Aiden. But Aiden is basically Beetlejuice, or at least is the way I play it.

The story is told nonlinearly through different periods of Jodie's life. During a young teenage birthday party with a bunch of teens who were just the worst, I knew there was going to be a Carrie moment and was chomping at the bit to be unleashed and terrorize these teens. One traumatic experience later and finally Jodie says "get them, Aiden." SHOWTIME!

I terrorized those kids real good, and maybe kinda burnt the house down. 10/10 game.

I really don't think I was scared, I think I was irritated at Terrik for wanting to do nothing but hide in the van. (Also, it's more entertaining if you let yourself get scared)

Anyways, the first mission we did as a duo pretty much sums up Terrik playing this game.

Hades (on the Switch)

Oh my God, it's sooooo good!!! (Like you all have been saying.)
I'm generally not a huge rogue-like/lite fan, but the combat is smooth and responsive, the art style is great, mythology is my jam, and the soundtrack is on-point.
And even though I generally suck at this type of game, I still feel like I'm making progress. (I've done 6 or 7 runs, and killed the first zone boss with 3 different weapons, @Eriol has made it through Elysium once, and almost got the boss(es) down first try.)

Yeah, you even made a career out of it!:troll:

(I'm joking, I'm joking, don't hurt me, I'm all in favor of personal faith)

I haven't played it yet. But when those two played it last night it looked fun as hell. I did watch some others playing it but they took it SUPER serious and it just didn't look fun.

You should watch my stream from Sunday, and watch Terrik cry.

I watched your clips here, which is why I started watching people play it on Twitch. Then Bumble popped up and I love his interaction with Kags.

Me and Terrik playing Phasmophobia in VR. (Gas joined us later, but it's not as funny when he's playing with us)
