Chicken, smothered in mushroom gravy and monterey jack cheese, mashed potatoes, and roasted carrots.

It's got a bit more purple to it, but now that you mention it I can see it.

For anyone who's wondering - it's not great, the "cotton candy" aspect adds kind of a cloying sweetness to the whole thing, but it's not nearly as bad as I expected it to be. I wouldn't want to by any stretch, but I could eat this semi-regularly if I had a compelling enough reason to.

I just want my mom to make chicken thighs and mushroom soup with scalloped potatoes and peas. One of the most comforting weeknight meals she made all the time (not both scalloped potatoes and chicken n mushroom soup at the same time, she didn't normally double up on creamy food items, I just want both).

So I come home tonight to find that dinner tonight was "Farmhouse Chicken Casserole," which is basically chicken thighs, potatoes, and peas in a cream sauce, and I have to wonder if you've been peeking at our menu calendar.

Pan fried salmon with honey soy garlic sauce and roasted veggies. I'm not entirely sure what I did so right, but the salmon tonight basically melted in our mouths, it was so good.

Sunday, we had boiled dinner. Corned beef, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, parsnips, turnips, and rutabaga.
Tonight, we completed the cycle by having the leftovers as corned beef hash.

I really, really wanted a donair from the place down the street but they're closed on Tuesdays so I made the responsible choice and bought 20 dollars worth of chicken nuggets from Wendy's (which is a fuckload of nuggs).

How many pounds is a large donair? Like 3? Or a nice Maritimes 4?

The large is easily like 2 kilos. I get a small and it hurts to finish.

When they first opened a buddy and I each bought ourselves larges with a side of donair poutine because we didn't know....we just didn't know.
