I checked out this sale only to realize I already own every game in it.GOG's got a new D&D RPG promo up. The more you buy or own already, the less they cost. All these games together? $21.60. That's madness, for a couple of hundred hours of good old RPG fun.
I urge everyone who does not already own all of these to go forth and buy. (seriously, I rebought all the ones I own on disc yet again because they're just too cheap not to)

Humble Double Fine Bundle
Pay what you want for:
- Costume Quest
- Psychonauts
- Stacking
Pay more than the average for:
- Brutal Legend
Pay more than $35 for:
- Broken Age (the Double Fine Kickstarter adventure game)
Pay more than $70 for:
- a t-shirt (really?)
This is a great deal for the first three games, which are all excellent. Unfortunately the average is rapidly climbing and it's more than I'm willing to pay for Brutal Legend.
I'm betting Iron Brigade and/or The Cave will get added at some point, but I could be wrong. If either does, that might talk me into grabbing the bundle.I already own all of these

Well that explains why the website has been down all day.Rainslick Precipice of Darkness 3 for steam FREE today before midnight if you're fast enough with the code it gives you (it seems too many people are trying it at once and it might dish you out a code that someone else could beat you to using, it took me a couple tries with the steam activation code window on stand-by to get it)

Fuck yeah, I'm donating some and giving them away on here.American Nightmare is completely different, which makes sense as it's drawing it's inspiration from a completely different source. If Alan Wake is drawing from guys like Stephen King, American Nightmare is drawing from the Twilight Zone and B-Movies. This makes it much more action packed and the tools you get are much better than they were in the original.
American Nightmare isn't really a sequel though. It's more like an expansion, as it's tying up a few of the loose threads from the original game. It's fun though.
Here's a treat. This is the Poets of the Fall video for War, which is basically a real world take on Alan Wake (even starring the guy they used as a model for him). They did a few songs for the game, as themselves and as "The Old Gods of Asgard".
EDIT: Went and got two copies of the bundle. Remedy deserves the money, even if Alan Wake has to go on hiatus as a series. They really tried to give us something different and succeeded in some many ways... and it's not like it's their fault that investors have an unrealistic expectation on sales. Alan Wake sold more than 3 million copies. That's fantastic sales, no matter how you look at it.
Remember when Epic made hands-down the best PC FPS games ever? (Hint, 2004). Well, it's been 15 years since the first Unreal game gave us our first real reason to buy a 3D accelerator (YEAH 3DFX VOODOO), and to commemorate that (and gloss over the 9 years of neglect with a side of consolitis they've shown the PC world since UT2004) they're packaging up all the Unreal games for 10 bucks on steam. Even to this day I still sometimes break out my UT2004 with all the mods, custom characters, community map packs, etc and give it a whirl.[DOUBLEPOST=1369302625][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh, also the latest Sins of a Solar Empire "standalone expansion," "SOSE: Rebellion" is on sale today until 4p pacific for 14 bucks (66% off)." Finally priced reasonably enough for me to pick up a couple copies - been playing SOSE:Trinity up til now. Looking forward to finally building some titans, and seeing if corvettes are worth anything.
Really? In a sort of, zergling-rush swarm-them-so-they-can't-target-all-of-us sort of way?corvettes are good for messing with capital ships.

Fact.Unreal Tournament 2004 was and is still the king in my books.
Personally I think Hotline Miami and Awesomenauts are the big winners in this one. Either way, phenomenal steal.Humble Indie Bunde 8 has arrived
- Little Inferno
- Awesomenauts
- Capsized
- Thomas Was Alone
- Dear Esther
Pay more than the average for:
- Hotline Miami
- Proteus
For me the gem of this bundle is Little Inferno. I haven't played it, but I've heard good things about it, and that's why I snapped it up.
The only one I have played is Dear Esther, which isn't so much a game as a story, but it's an enjoyable trip.
