I've been playing against the computer trying to gear up to tackle actual players. It's good to hear that they are easier than the AI cause I keep getting wrecked by them.Scrolls
I like the mechanics. It's a card based game with some minor tactical elements, just enough to matter and distinguish itself from a certain other TCG that you will inevitably compare all collectible card games to. The rules themselves are interesting and there's lots of elements you have to manage at a time. Being said, I found the CPU to be really hard, even on easy my matches with it tend to be lopsided. Against another person things worked out much more evenly.
The store shows promise. You buy everything with Gold or Shards. Gold you get for playing in matches and Shards you purchase with real money. Everything in the game is purchasable with gold, and several items are only available via gold. Those are random scrolls, random scrollboosterpacks and a random scroll of a particularcolorfaction. They also have a set of 6 predetermined scrolls that can be purchased individually that are in a weekly rotation, the other two pre-constructed decks, and avatars for your profile. Those can be purchased with shards instead of gold.
I'm enjoying it so far. I don't know if I would recommend it as a must buy, but if you like collectible card games it's probably worth checking out.
I tried it. It's a Cryptic Studios game.I've had several friends asking me about the Neverwinter FTP MMO. I think I'll check it out.

That's all you need to know.
Also, I cry every day they can't get a D&D game right.
Holy shit it's sixty bucks. That's not a sale! That's not a sale at all!

(Ok, yes, it's a GotY edition, technically that's a sale, but still)
If past years are any indication, the Steam Summer Sale is just around the corner. Chances are it'll go on sale then, and even if it doesn't, the Christmas sale is a dead cert. Or it could go on sale in the summer and then end up even cheaper for Christmas.Whoops. It's available for the first time on Steam, but not on sale. My bad.
Absolutely nothing except some Facebook games. Seriously, my best pc right now is a Pentium IV, 1 core 1.7GHz with a graphics card dating back to 2004 or something.
Gah!
Or, you know, Unreal 2004.
This is true. Even though it doesn't have an internet connection, I still have my original install discs (well, my originals are gone, but I've still got 2 legal copies of the CDs )You can run Diablo 2 on that bad boy... you have no excuse.
I had hopes for this game but lost it a few months ago after some gameplay vids.State of Decay...so far, meh...just another button masher. I hope it gets better.
Then again, I'm still at the beginning. I should give it a better chance before I bitch about it.
Finished Devil Survivor again, went pretty much the opposite end route as before. Need to play something else; this is getting out of hand.
I've only played the Gamecube version, but I don't think there's been any drastic overhauls, just additions. It's about collecting stuff to decorate your house. It's really just a bunch of mini-games and fetch-quests, set in a quirky world with pleasant music. The dialogue can be pretty funny at points, and the art design is pretty charming, IMO. There's also new content throughout the year based on the system clock, with weather changing, certain holidays having special events and what-not.Someone explain Animal Crossing to me. I don't get it, but it's all I'm hearing about.
Having just watched a few episodes of DS9 involving Romulans, that appears series accurate. Those things were huge.Seeing as I'm now crusing around in D'Deridex Warbird, it's shocking just how fucking big those things were supposed to be. There's more mass in the bird head front of the ship than in the entirety of a Galaxy glass vessel.
Thanks for explaining. Doesn't sound like my thing.I've only played the Gamecube version, but I don't think there's been any drastic overhauls, just additions. He explained it badly. Thanks for explaining. Doesn't sound like my thing.
I didn't find it boring. I played it every day for nearly a year, and from what I understand the newer games have even more content. While it is fetch quests and mini-games, it's well done fetch-quests and mini-games. There's a nice sense of discovery, and I always got a very happy feeling from playing it. While it did help that I played with my three sisters, and we each had a character in our two towns, I probably would have enjoyed it even by myself (though the newer games have online features.)You know, I was thinking about getting Animal Crossing, too, but Pez's description makes it sound really...boring.
