Went 55 days without shaving. Started bald, and only trimmed so it wouldn't spread to my neck. Today, I got the unequaled joy and pleasure of shaving it into a variety of styles while making stupid faces at myself in the mirror.
It doesn't grow in thick enough for my tastes. Still, it looks a whole hell of a lot better than when I tried it 6 years ago.
Went with a very 70s Sideburns and goatee combo first.

I made boobie fin pad things for the front of the costume:
I'm really happy with the fabric I picked for these fin-like pieces. It has a bit of a texture to it and this shine that gives it a wet look, which is exactly what I wanted. And I was stoked that these came out exactly how I wanted! Too bad this is the only place this is showing up on the costume... I love it.
My wig finally showed up! Ordered it over a month ago, and it finally arrived from China! It has a little bit of a weird smell to it (as expected) but it's soft and pretty, so it's all good. It does need a bit of work, though... and I'm completely inexperienced when it comes to wig styling!
