Rant VIII: The Reckoning

Well they are back again today lol the storm last night (minor rant thread) knocked power to a lot of places and they still don't have power so the kids (not sure on grandparents I'm at work) are over today until they get power back

Okay well we had two of the kids last night again because they still had no power. Didn't keep the oldest. He's really hard to deal with he's 15 and gets into everything and does everything's he's asked not to do because my guess is he just doesn't give a crap. Anyways, their power was restored last night around 2am.so I'm about to feed the two younger ones lunch and then I'll be running them back home. I can't wait to get back the normalcy of my house because this crap has been severely insane. :( sometimes I think Crimson and I are really way way to nice. Anyway will update later.

POINTLESS CAKE BASED RANT!

How big did they think this cake would be?! The container BARELY contains half the damn thing, I can't fit that shit in my fridge! Now I gotta finagle the cake into a pre-existing container- CURSE SHOPRITE CAKE PEOPLE!

Trying to rebuild a life I let myself destroy slowly while I was in Atlanta makes for a lonely time. I'm at least a decade older than everyone in my classes and at work, and it's been over 5 years now since my last relationship.

The weird thing is I'm not really depressed over any of it, just realizing that being a 30-year-old man still into anime, comics, video games and the like (that also lives at home due to previously mentioned mistakes in life) makes it difficult to find a girl who won't consider me some kind of ridiculous manchild.

I'm in a similar situation, but I'm 46. :p

Social life? What is that? Since I'm living on Moscow time, I've barely had my coffee when the restaurants and movie theaters have all closed, and the bars are winding down. Whole lot of nothing going on when your lunchtime is everyone else's 3 or 4am. After work? Nope. That's when the daylight people are off to work or class.

Turned the living at home into a positive at least, since my mom still doesn't get around all that well. Still needs a second shoulder replacement surgery and surgery on her left knee to help stabilize it. So any errands or heavy lifting needing done falls to me.

Find an equally ridiculous womangirl?

I'd say au contraire - find a mothering type woman who wants/needs a guy she can "take care of"/"fuss over". Plenty of those to go around.
Contrary to how it sounded, I can take care of myself. At the moment if I make more than a certain amount per year, though, I can't use the tuition waiver I receive for classes.

Yes, because as you know, all geeky women are born married. [emoji14]
Yeah I'm exaggerating, mostly out of frustration with the situation I guess. Just seems most women around my age are already married for years around here.

I wasn't referring to you, specifically - I meant manchildren in general. Quite a few of them end up with mother hens for wives/girlfriends, and that seems to work out often enough. Depends on how much of a manchild you are and in what ways. I know 40 year old men who still wouldn't know how to use a washing machine or an ironing board :p

Every time I see a friend post about how much trouble they had changing a tire I die a little inside.
