Funny Pictures Thread. It begins again

That was my first thought as well, but then I reconsidered because Carmen Sandiego has never even been an antiheroine, much less a heroine. She's an unrepentant Impossible Thief.
Yes and no. In the animated series they did, she was softened a bit... yes, she was a thief and had no qualms about fucking with the Acme Detective Agency team, but she still had standards. If the kids hunting her were literally about to die, she would help them out and if someone else was in on her game AND being a thug about it, she wasn't above setting them up for a fall ether. She was played a bit more like a classier Lupin: she was stealing shit because it was fun and because she could, but she certainly wasn't going to let someone suffer serious harm for her fun unless they were a fucking monster. She even admonishes one villain for using guns.

Then again, that Carmen had black hair instead of brunette and isn't consider the "real" one by the story folks of the series so... *shrug*

Yeah, I was thinking of the PC games, I don't consider the cartoon canon, and the game show even less so.

In the video games, when you were close to catching the crook, knives would be flung, there'd be gunshots that barely missed you, safes falling from windows, etc.

But every kid wanted to be on that game show, and woe be the team that ended up with Asia at the end.
That gameshow was killer. And man... it's strange to look back at PBS with nostalgia for something other than Mr. Rogers. Between that show, Square One Television (I heart Mathnet), and Ghostwriter, it's kind of weird how much of my childhood involved me watching educational stuff voluntarily.

They still have current stuff that's worthwhile. It's actually scary that throughout television history PBS has had some of the most consistently worthwhile programming.

I always waited with bated breath, hoping mathman would eat the wrong number and the little tornado thing would end him.

Oh I know. I've actually sat down and watched episodes of Arthur (like the Neil Gaiman one) and marveled at how well written and animated it is, and I think OddSquad is pretty great too. I'm not knocking PBS... it puts out a ton of great stuff for kids, though the adult oriented stuff can be hit or miss because your local affiliate has complete control over what gets shown.[DOUBLEPOST=1430502748,1430502708][/DOUBLEPOST]

That was THE BEST PART of that segment. Square One was the shit.

Why does everyone, except Leia and Merida, have bowed legs? If they all did, I wouldn't be commenting, but it's really strange that they even went out of the way to show that Leia has straight legs.
I wouldn't say they're bowed, so much as they just curve. It's a popular cutesy style for arms and legs to be essentially just curved little squiggles. Leia's legs aren't straight either, they're curved nubs just like all the others, they just curve in the same direction, I assume because the artist thought it looked better in the robe.

I'm going to have to defend the artist on this one. She's presumably wearing a bra, and probably one of the steel-belted, bulletproof kevlar kind that are popular these days.
