Funny Pictures Thread. It begins again

We had a lot of leftover bottled water after an event we sponsored this past weekend. We loaded it up in the fridge here at the station. I would call this picture "Sorry, California."

The worst part is that I bet a majority of the water in those bottles is California water, bottled at plants from here.
Well, I haven't gone through and checked them all, but the last two bottles I've grabbed both were sourced from public tapwater in Pasadena, TX. (Nestle "Pure Life")

Sourcing water from Pasadena should be illegal. That is some of the dirtiest air, land and water in all of America.

Eww..i spent some years growing up in Stink-a-dina. Though I have to admit, the tap water there is pretty good.

Pretty much everywhere within 50 miles of Houston stinks like hell thanks to the ship channel, yeah. Hell, in my opinion, most of the coast is stinky too (NO idea why people think Galveston is a beach worth visiting). But no tap water I've tasted has ever been as foul as that in Socorro, NM.

Do you think they were trying to send a message when they named the town?

It would not surprise me in the least. Though, I gotta say, apart from the tap water I really enjoyed my time there. New Mexico Tech is a wonderful little school, and the Energetic Materials Research lab is pretty awesome.

Pasadena is especially stinky, due in large part to the several chemical plants operating in the area, as well as the paper mill (source of sulfur dioxide) which operated when I was growing up, though it's shut down now.

We're having a water shortage here in Taiwan too, so... fuck you, Gas!

(I never thought I've ever said this, but what Taiwan needs most right now is to get battered by a typhoon or two)

Sorry, I couldn't hear you over the noise of me throwing this half-full bottle of Dasani in the trash. Come again? :troll:

Oh. I thought that only happens when we divert so much for industrial and agricultural use . . . Okay now I'm actually feeling bad for the many places in the world where fresh water isn't everywhere.

I live nestled between 3 of the largest lakes in the world. What's a drought?
My school is right next to a lake (admittedly it would not be considered "large"). When I was a teenager, people swam in the lake during the summer. It was smooth as glass because it was surrounded by hills and untouched by the wind. Trees grew near the banks, and people would go there all the time to relax or have fun.

For the last year or so you can walk down the middle from one end to the other without getting your feet wet.
