The EPIC WIN Thread 3: SON OF EPIC

Thanks @Simfers and @Suidleybits ! I think a part of me just kind of shrugged it off and acted like I wasn't concerned about getting it, but after meeting the hiring manager and the CFO, I really wanted this one!

And they wanted you, it seems.
Here's hoping.

Yes, absolutely. The CFO had said he normally would want a third interview but until recently there weren't a lot of good applicants, myself included. That there was a confidence booster!

The place is fantastic. My wife and I are already looking at apartments which are closer and will result in much less travel time. I just can't wait!

Oh god, now I need to create a German character specifically JUST so he can call Dill that.
Heh, that word was created by, depending on whose story you believe, either early German settlers in Texas, or German POWs during WW2 who were being held at Fort Bliss in El Paso. They'd never seen such a creature before, and were both scared of and fascinated by these "armored pigs."

That's it. You can do my retirement party, too. It's only a few years away, though.

And you were going to fly me out for it, right? ;)

They call that "Amazon reviews," and they're no secret. People will happily tell you their reaction.

No, I mean, literally get people's reactions when they see it on a bookshelf. Like seeing their facial reactions to seeing the cover and reading the title.

...after all this time, I just got the joke of Nick's book's title. To be fair, I was also pronouncing it wrong in my head.

Oh my god, I am so slow.
