Booyah! Sat in with some fellow writers for a NaNoWriMo write-in tonight. I struggled a bit at first, having some Blank Page Syndrome. This new book I'm working on is completely unrelated to Dill, so it's outside my comfort zone.
But then I got to the crux of the book. Its hook, in other words. And I couldn't stop. Everything just flowed.
By the end, I had 2,000 words written.
I'm now sitting at 4,053
Ideally, by this point, I should be at around 6,668 words (they suggest an average of about 1,667 words per day). So I'm a bit behind. But after tonight, I'm feeling a LOT better about this book.
