What are you playing?

See, I went the opposite way..

Kurialo - Jedi Guardian (I play her as a Cartel thug with some minor force training. Even use a vibroblade)

That's mostly Shae Vizla's armor, with the Rishi rep helmet. Her jetpack actually turns on when I use Rocket Boots!

Mertvaya - Commando (I play him as a soldier that's survive so many battles that's me mostly cybernetic at this point)

Mostly Contract Hunter stuff (from Bounty Week Rep) with Stalker Helm and B-100 Cyborg gloves and boots. Cannon is R-35 and it actually lights up, spins, and has pistons that move.[DOUBLEPOST=1467585007,1467584485][/DOUBLEPOST]
Trying my hand again at "Dark Cloud" a game where if you breaking ANY weapon is pretty much certain doom and frustration, as upgrading your attack is the ONE thing you can't do for your characters...right now I guess.

Also you manipulate landmarks-LIKE A GOD!
Dark Cloud 2 just makes the damage of the weapon go to 1 until you fix it. Much easier to deal with.

I'm betting they decided that from a MASSIVE letter campaign.

ALSO-Goro can be damn near impossible to play as at first, could he HAVE less range?

You're gonna want to build up everyone as best as you can. Some characters have required sections, so you need to have a passable weapon for everyone.

Yes, even Goro. I hate him too.

"Let's introduce the character jumping around his Peter Pan house with friggin' EASE, only to reveal he has a range of like one inch and intro-DUCE him in the dungeon set with all the monsters that keep backing up!OH-and make sure to have a level where you can ONLY play as him, that'll be fun."

I've been playing Stardew Valley. Thus far I think I've got something like... 80 hours? 100 hours? So why haven't I been posting about it? Because every waking hour where I'm not working, traveling, or giving my wife some cursory semblance of attention is spent playing Stardew Valley. This stuff scratches my Harvest Moon itch like you wouldn't believe. I've reached summer of year 2, managed to bottom out in the mines, donated enough stuff at the museum to get the sewer key, reached seven hearts with my preferred lady friend, and just built my first chicken coop. And I still feel like I'm a newb at the game, and that there's a ton of stuff I haven't found or explored yet.

Playing this game is like listening to one particular song from Les Miserables on repeat.

One more dawn...
One more day...

One... day... mooooooooooooore!!!

Console controls are clunkier than the PC; like Assassin's Creed. But there is more nuance to the combat that I need to learn. I think I need to be deflecting more than I am, because my strategy at the moment is trying to treat this like Dark Souls (attack, roll, attack, roll) when deflect, flame, slash, deflect might serve better.

Took down the griffin. I enjoyed that more than fighting humanoids, so I'm hoping there are lots of big monsters to fight.
Yes, deflect is key. There's skills later that make it OP. (deflect arrows back) It's all about pacing in the battle. Many times you're against many.

As you spells are good for certain enemy types but not really.

As for monster fights, that's why you're a Witcher. There's many of them and some pretty damn epic. Get contracts.

Used deflection in the bar fight and it went much better than a lot of my humanoid battles.

Nick was right about the game picking up once you meet the Emperor. The next recommended level area is for level 5, but I'm only level 3, so I'm guessing I should check around White Orchard's undiscovered locations for stuff to do? The bulletin board had no quests last I checked.

Combat should be fine, I used a controller to play Witcher 3. It's practically made for it.

As for level, there's countless sidequests (shit on the map), just explore and you'll find stuff.

I'd move on to the next area, 1-2 levels doesn't make a dif.[DOUBLEPOST=1467603119,1467603086][/DOUBLEPOST]I do recommend seeking out Witcher gear, that stuff is better than 90% of the shit you find out there.

Although I'm sure you already are, keep an eye out for yellow exclamation marks on the map. They'll be little quests that reward you. Usually pretty quick, too. And yeah, doing some of the ? markings will help.

I went to the moon to get more neodymium for my next ship.

Found a deposit of it, but it had an... oddly named waypoint...

I uh... I don't think I need the neodymium that badly. Y'know, most people in these games just build dicks.

Somebody on my server has a lot of terraforming tools and way too much time on their hands.

Anyway, so I went to a nearby Lava planet to get more Erestrum.

Finding a place to land was... challenging. Man, that is just a great big ball of unfriendly. The atmosphere is toxic, the lava will burn you alive, there's almost nothing in the way of plants (mostly fungus that isn't useful really) and all the local fauna wants to kill you and eat your skin or something. Ugh.

And yes, I do need to carry around 37 cups of coffee.

So back to the adaptive armor, I think this is Alusteel Onslaught Armor. I'm basically okay with this. It's still a bit "Smuggler"-ish for me, but it has more of a general "adventurer" vibe to it. Sort of a Rogue Jedi kind of look.

Actually if it had 8 more belts and a cape, it'd be a "Final Fantasy Jedi" kind of look.

Honestly I've never been big on the hooded robe wear for Jedis, I much prefer the Obi-Wan Clone Wars style, mixing the robe with armor.

Hell, most of the 50+ Jedi Guardian/Consular gear actually looks pretty good, imo.

Oh God, Zero Time Dilemma. I...I don't have time for this.

I played for maybe an hour, and it's eating at me that I have all this real life bullshit to deal with. Ugh, I hate adulting soooooo much...

More Empyrion: Galactic Survival

I decided to build the largest Capital Vessel that the game provides standard. I was a little surprised at how affordable it was, compared to my customized one. Well, I guess you get what you pay for.

I christened her Leviathan. She's super long and moderately armed, I suppose, and has room for two fighters and a hover vehicle (though how one plans to get that hover vehicle up onto the deck I can't begin to guess, since HVs have a max altitude of 3 meters and the deck is clearly at least 10 meters up - maybe you're meant to land the carrier next to a stunt ramp). I was pleased that it had 36 hydroponic growth pods to make sure the crew would be well provisioned, but very quickly shortcomings started popping up.

There's no way to get between the bow and aft sections of the ship other than by EVA - you have to go outside, most likely via the hangar.
The Gravity generator is mounted in the stern, and doesn't reach all the way to the very front of the bow. Which can be a nasty surprise if you're walking toward the bow window in the observation deck.
The interior room layout is unintuitive, and to reach the bridge basically requires a long hallway that doubles back on itself to climb a stairway to get on an elevator. If this thing ever crashes, you can pretty much guarantee the captain will go down with the ship. But at least there's a handy door on the ventral (bottom) hull that gets you right into and out of the main engineering room with all the generators, the jump drive and the computer core - you know, all the things an enemy boarding party would want access to in order to disable or take ownership of the vessel /facepalm.

So, all in all, not that impressed. Probably gonna keep her parked out there at the space bordello until somebody steals her.

Anyway...

Ha ha ha, somebody REALLY fancies themselves a space pirate. But I guess they didn't know how shallow the water was, here. Sandbars are usually a hint, guys.

Up next...

Neat, somebody built a 1:1 size replica of the Normandy from Mass Effect 2. I'd like to get some of those mining probes, myself.

I know in my playthrough I fired a bunch of them at Uranus.

Okay so it turns out for the Dark vs Light event in SWTOR, you need a full set of 8 new characters, one for each class. I've got a Togruta Jedi Knight, Rattaka Sith Inquisitor, and Zabrak Bounty Hunter so far.

I have purchased Twi'lek and Togruta species access, so they can be used for all classes. I have not purchased Cathar, though I will when is next on sale.

So I need a new Jedi Consular, Smuggler, Trooper, Sith Warrior, and Imperial Agent.

Sith Warrior I'm going to go Male Pureblood Sith, Dark Side, Marauder.

Jedi Consular, Female Mirulakan, Dark Side, Shadow.

Trooper will be Male Cyborg Vanguard. Probably Light Side, though my Commando is mostly Light Side.

Smuggler and Imperial Agent I'll go female with both. Don't know about the races yet.

Captain, there seems to be a porblem.

And yes, I checked, the "free" small vessel was owned and locked down to make it unusable.

God damn flashpoints. Great for leveling, but somewhere I missed the fact that doing a tactical jacks it up automatically to level 65. Maelstrom Prison is okay for the most part, but the final boss is bullshit. One-hit-kill (like 65k damage) from his sniper rifle and an impenetrable shield, which is apparently supposed to drop at points, but didn't. He's also not supposed to run up and aggro, but he does. TPK in like 45 seconds. Finally we all quit, and I wound up spending over 5k on equipment repairs because everything was destroyed.

I leveled up enough to try some new gear; I went for Krayt Dragon Onslaught Armor made by one of my alts.

HOLY SHIT my Jedi looks like a Romani figure skater or something.

This is what it looks like for an Imperial:
