[Gaming] Overwatch (#boycottblizz)

I suppose they aren't if you want to film all the failures and post them on YouTube or something, sure.

I mean, if you just want the basic idea of how all the characters play fine. If you mean be very proficient with every character, then no, that's bordering on crazy.

Yeah, I fully admit there are characters I'm absolute crap at. You SHOULD, however, be somewhat proficient in one of each of the different categories. For instance, For Tank, I'm pretty good with D'Va, Support, Lucio/Symmetra, Genji for straight damage, Junkrat for specialty/utility.

And you should play as each character a little just so you know what they can do/what you're up against.

I suck horribly as Zenyatta, but I want to know his strategies so I can effectively counter them.

I am surprised at the degree to which the game actually tries to play with physics.
-McCree's weapon actually has a muzzle rise when used. This can throw off follow-up shots, and if you try to pull off a fan without actually "leaning into" it, you'll walk right off the top of your target.
-(most) repeating weapons will start to scatter if held down. The first shot is always dead on, but the group will lose accuracy and spread with sustained fire.
-Hanzo's arm actually gets tired and shakes if he keeps his bow drawn.
-Projectile speed actually matters...for time to impact, gravity, everything.

That said, left for work today 8:30a got home 10p, tomorrow leave 9:30a get home 9:30p, at least I have Mon off.
But the headset and new keyboard should be here Wed, so I got that coming for me, which is nice.

You know, the MOBAWATCH brawl really shows why Hero switching is needed. I wanted just a few quick stress relief games and went in there, but the game is pretty much pre-deteremined based on who you choose. I went Winston on Offense since I knew a lot of the time the defending team would have at least one sniper, and was lucky enough that the defending team went Widowmaker (weak versus Winston, can't keep distance), Genji (weak versus Winston, can't reflect Lightening Gun) S76 (medium versus Winston, if he can keep distance), Reinhardt (Lightening Gun ignores Shield), Torbjorn (which is good versus Winston if he knows what he is doing, but this one didn't and couldn't keep his turret up), and Mercy (weak versus Winston). It was even better because we had a Zenyatta on the team that really knew how to use my shield to throw out some devistating blasts, keep me healed, and make my job hunting them even easier with Discord.

We steamrolled the match and I ended it with close to 60% kill participation. It was so crazy that by the last leg I just used my ultimate and held off the whole team by myself at the final payload point allowing my team to walk it from the door all the way to the trailer with little resistance. While it felt nice to have such a strong win, it's because they couldn't switch out to counter our composition. Super glad they are not listening to people in that regard (there are some vocal people that don't want switching).

The helmet one really accentuates that chest hair though.
What's really blown me away is that 76 has actual facial expressions, and most often they're smirks or genuine smiles. When he wore the mask, his dialog made me think he was in a perpetual "Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino" pruneface scowl.

Honestly I am surprised he does not have a skin of his NORMAL outfit without the mask. Seems like it would have been a good fit for an epic skin.
