I have to agree. After the pure misery that is Bloodborne at times, Dark Souls 2 is easy street.
I think I've played so much Bloodborne that it's stopped being pure misery to me.* Honestly, I love Dark Souls 3, but it friggin cheats at times.
*The main game. The DLC is a nightmare. I love it, but its attitude is "hey, you wanted more of this shit? You brought it on yourself." Ludwig is unforgiving as they come and Fiery Cleric Beast's lava is absolutely bullshit. I only cakewalked Lady Maria through visceral attacks, but I've yet to beat the final boss of the DLC and I probably never will.
But the story clues and elements gained from Bloodborne's DLC really flip aspects of the world's assumed history on its head, whatever your interpretation. One way or another, there were lies told beyond what the Menses cult was fucking around in.
There's some wonderful lore clues in Dark Souls 3's final DLC that fundamentally changes many assumptions about knowledge gained from the first game's prologue, and hints as to what started this cycle in the first place, but you have to go through a lot of unfair shit to get there. I didn't even bother with the optional dragon boss. I started with it and just realized that it wasn't happening. I was just happy to beat the DLC's final boss without asking for help.[DOUBLEPOST=1511573252,1511573068][/DOUBLEPOST]FFS unlocking the optional superboss in Bayonetta 2 takes 10 million halos?
Fuuuuuuuck that.
