Pharma CEOs are the literal worst.
Pharma CEOs are the literal worst.
Yes, and the problem is since they technically own a chunk of the company, they can threaten to say, sell all their shares to a competitor that is looking to purchase the business up. "Hostile Takeover" and all that, should you not get the numbers they want. It's really shitty. It's an attitude where the shareholders are all, "We literally own you and therefore you will do what we say," but also because so many of these shareholders are actually institutions rather than individuals (401k/hedge/mutual fund managers, etc) and so their priority is ROI above all else. A fund manager doesn't care if your company starves itself to death or liquidates or gives all its employees AIDS, all they care about is the end result: that the fund they manage continues to turn a profit.
And both of the WV senatorial candidates are waaay up the ass of Big Pharma. If I had to choose, I'd choose fellating a shotgun.https://arstechnica.com/science/201...e-400-citing-moral-requirement-to-make-money/

Maybe, if you're lucky, Florence will decide to bend a little more northward. And both of the WV senatorial candidates are waaay up the ass of Big Pharma. If I had to choose, I'd choose fellating a shotgun.
Whatever gets the commercials to stop.Primary day! I get to vote for the NYS AG which is basically 4 people saying they're gonna prosecute trump the hardest.
That is a LOT of stock photography. They must have saved their budget for that costumed extravaganza at the end.Why can't political ads all be like this gem
Stalin? The latest here is that they're using a dead guy to prop up GOP candidates. (If you are wondering who the dead guy is, you're not paying attention...)
Oh, that's the good people on both sides.Stalin?
. . . Hitler?
Almost 10 years, now.I'm so glad I have no cable TV.
I was able to keep up in Game of Thrones conversations just from reading the first book. And then I got bored of the series and couldn't.Almost 10 years, now.
FYI you’ll get razzed for not keeping up on the new, hottest shows and pop culture, though.

He's been open about smoking marijuana for how many years and people thought he was a conservative? The whole Willie Nelson thing going on right now is making me laugh.
Willie is set to headline a rally for Beto soon to promote his bid for senate here in Texas. Once his republican fans found out, you couldn't contain all the shocks and gasps and outrage and claims of betrayal. Did... did none of them know he was a liberal activist? Some of these people claim they were hardcore fans of his for 45 years, how is this news to them? Did they just assume since he is known as a country singer, that's makes him like an automatic conservative or something? Haha.
Well nobody I voted for won (though Teachout was the only one with a real chance) but the IDC (New York republicans who run as democrats) was pretty much destroyed by Democratic-Socialists so we should have an actual democratic majority in the state senate. Obviously a good thing in general but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't particularly excited for some dank kush, yo.Primary day! I get to vote for the NYS AG which is basically 4 people saying they're gonna prosecute trump the hardest.
What, you don't have letters detailing your qualities and high standards of moral fibre by former acquaintances lying around? How do you get a job without it?So apparently someone accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault, and then *the next day* Chuck Grassley pulls out a letter from 65 women Kavanaugh knew in high school attesting to his good character. If that doesn't reek of the GOP knowing about these allegations in advance, I don't know what does.
I hate those 65 women. All they're doing is shouting down the victim. So apparently someone accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault, and then *the next day* Chuck Grassley pulls out a letter from 65 women Kavanaugh knew in high school attesting to his good character. To give them the benefit of the doubt, it's very possible that they didn't know about the context and were just asked "hey would you vouch for him since you've known him for a long time."I hate those 65 women. All they're doing is shouting down the victim.
