I do strongly prefer "believe victims" over "believe women". Yes, in our patriarchal society men are more often in positions of power to abuse and all that, but men can be victims and women can be perpetrators too. "Believe victims" is far more neutral and not as gender-confirming. Not quite the same, of course, but "believe women" would mean we'd have to take the word of that female officer who shot the black guy in his own apartment. Small changes, big difference for a small group.

The hypocrisy of a corporate twitter account complaining about how advertising is drilled into online mass media is amazing.

Don’t get me wrong, a lot of what they said was true. It just seemed a little odd for that particular complaint to come from Steak-umm.

The very first question asked is about what they are doing about it and what they give back. Steak-umm followed up with a list. So they are walking the walk as well.

I'm actually impressed the company is taking a stance and talking about it.
